Out of the way if your at Siesta Key or further south. However the trip is worth it but it's a hike and the sign is unimpressive so it might be easy to miss.
On the positive side great food and service. Request a garden view table.

Nice, just the right amount of upscale to the dinning experience for a beach area. Food was well prepared and focused on local fish dishes. Nice wine list.

We had a lovely brunch at Harry"s the other month and just could not say enough about the delicious food choices and wonderful service!! The dining was quiet and peaceful looking out on the gardens and the bar is really adorable! We have always used the deli and bakery but the dining was just a perfect experience. Can"t wait to go back this weekend! Liddy C. Tampa, Fl.

When the kids get restless we send them off on their bikes for a treat at Harry's. Not a lot of places to go on Longboat for them, however Harry's is perfect. I only gave them 3 stars because personally I've never been there, but my bride raves about the place.

We went to Harry's special event dinner "Summer Wine Dinner", that included a five course meal with wine pairings. Wasn't quite sure what to expect because this event involves "communal" seating. As it turned out the folks at our table were really nice and we had lovely conversation. In addition, the couple that sat immediately to our left were from our condo but we had never met them before. How great was that. Our first course was mushroom soup severed with champagne. Very good. This was followed by clams and a glass of Riesling. The clams were great and the sauce was so good we had to ask for extra bread just so we could sop up all the yummy sauce. Next up was snapper with a chardonnay. Again the snapper very good but but thought the wine should have been dryer. Then we were served beef skewers with a very lite Cabernet Sauvignon. This serving was probably the only one we were a bit disappointed in. The beef was tasty but on the chewy side. The cab was very good. For desert we had strawberry shortcake with another white wine (can't remember what it was) but thought the wine should have been a bit dryer. The short cake was great. All in all this was a fun night, with good food and wine and very good company. We heard they may be doing a repeat in about three weeks time but this time all with seafood. We are going to keep our eyes open for that. On a final note, I was pleasantly surprised that we were served a full portion of wine with each pairing rather than a small sample. This was just the right amount of wine because the whole evening lasted over two and half hours.
