“late breakfast”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Had a late breakfast with three friends and had shrimp and grits ( the best I've ever eaten ), the service was prompt and friendly.

Looking forward to another visit over Labor Day week.

“Nice dinner.”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We live in Sarasota full-time and have always wanted to dine at Harry's Continental Kitchen, as it is so highly recommended. In "The Season" traffic on Longboat Key is awful, so waited until this summer to try it as a special treat for ourselves. Our reservations were at 5 p.m. when it opened. We were the only couple there and were seated in the Garden Room and were happily anticipating a pleasant dining experience. We ordered the four-course dinner with wine pairing. From the time we arrived until the time we left, the wait staff carried on a converstion by the entrance with no consideration for those eating in the dining room! Low- class behavior in a supposedly high-class restaurant!

Our waitress was pleasant and the food and wine were served in an efficient manner. We were satisfied with our dinner, but after spending $100. we were extremely disappointed in the rudeness of the staff and being forced to listen to their banter.

“Met the challenges of our group”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

Don't you love having a restaurant you've wanted to try forever, walk in, and realize they may not be able to accommodate your entire group?

Harry's did, and did well. Although there's no child's menu and I wouldn't label it kid-friendly, they had a high chair for our infant and dealt with my energetic 6 year old well (thank goodness they decided they were going to behave). You can order off-menu, which a few of the adults in my party did.

We went for brunch and will be going back for dinner the next time we're over in Longboat. Harry's All Day Special was a big hit (German pancake, eggs, etc.). My mother-in-law said that her eggs Benedict was perfection. I can personally attest to the lyonnaise potatoes -- yum.

Even though they coped well with our large party and kids, this is more of a ladies lunch/intimate dinner place, do leave the kids at home if you can. It's worth it.

“Delicious!”

Had an amazing breakfast. All five of our family had absolutely no complaints, other than we couldn't eat all of the food we had on our plates. Yummy!!

“Great Food and Service”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Out of the way if your at Siesta Key or further south. However the trip is worth it but it's a hike and the sign is unimpressive so it might be easy to miss.
On the positive side great food and service. Request a garden view table.
