This was an ideal spot to hit the beach with our three teenagers. Our two bedroom suite overlooking the Pacific was amazing. We all had plenty of space and the local grocery store and our beautiful full kitchen allowed us to grab breakfast at our leisure, run on the hard packed sand, search for sand dollars and look forward to each evenings' incredible sunset. We found plenty of great restaurants to explore and shops to visit. Loved Hemmingway's and The Dockside. The staff was kind and accommodating to my elderly parents. The great facilities gave all of us plenty of choices. The food was pricey but not out of line with the quality of this resort. We found a fabulous internet special and can't wait to return!!

We stayed at the Longboat Key Club over Memorial Day weekend, and while it is nice, it is pricey.

Our room was nice but at quite a hefty price. Golf rates, while discounted because we puchased two rounds, were still higher than other local courses and the resort course was not as nice. $14 for a wrap(in addition to a service fee, tax, and tax on the service fee) seemed a little pricey. These service fees are in additon to the $33 daily resort fee.

If you have deep pockets stay there - but there are plenty of condo rentals with a smiliar view at much cheaper price.

The best value out there. The attention to detail is unmatched. While some have said the food is expensive, it's less expensive than many other resorts. As noted, there are cheaper options for food in the area, so that's something to consider. Surrounding area is great. I've stayed here about 15 times and have never had a bad meal - at the resort or at any restaurant in the area.

The pictures for this resort did not paint a great picture for me prior to our visit. I thought it would be an acceptable place to spend our vacation. We couldn't have been more excited when we saw our suite and explored the resort...it was fantastic. Everyone in the family loved this place! The rooms, the service, the beach...everything was top notch and I will definitely come back next year! Longboat key is a wonderful place!

We came to this resort after 4 days at the parks for some relaxation and it delivered!
Everyone we encountered at this beautiful resort was wonderful. From check in to check out we could not ask for better service. Not overbearing or pretentious but you know they were there for whatever you needed. Cleaning staff was wonderful.
We had a club suite room and it was gorgeous. We were in building 2 and I have to disagree with previous reviewer, even though we were overlooking the pool as well as the gulf it was quiet. The pool sounds really didn't travel up or maybe it was great insulation once the sliders were closed? In any case, having both views was fantastic to keep an eye on everyone. There was a partition wall on the balcony so one side was a complete gulf view and the other was a pool/gulf view.
As other reviews have commented, the location can't be beat. Perfect.
We came away from this resort not having a care in the world, totally relaxed and SO happy we chose this place.

We had reserved a room at this resort a couple years ago and cancelled due to the price and perception that it would be too upscale for our extended family. After seeing a great rate on the internet, my husband & I decided to spend a week at the resort. After staying here, we decided we definitely made a mistake when we cancelled our reservations a couple years ago! The service and rooms are terrific. At the recommendation of another tripadvisor traveler, we requested an upper floor in building 4. A must-do! This building overlooks the beach and is incredibly quiet. The oceanview in buildings 2 & 3 actually overlook the pool which is incredibly busy and noisy from sunrise to sunset. Building 4 is great!

We rented a club suite, which has a kitchen, seating area, sleeping area and a large bathroom. I was amazed how much storage we had....two full closets and at least 14 drawers for storing our stuff. The towels were plush and refreshed every evening with turndown service. We needed a couple minor things fixed and service people were at our room within 10 minutes of calling.

The other guests are friendly, although I'm a little concerned about what sort of reception my autistic child would have. At the beach, I witnessed a pretentious mother calously ignoring a inquisitive girl with Down's syndrome who was trying to play with the woman's daughter. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see LBK Club has special wheelchair available for less mobile kids to take on the beach.

The food and drinks are pretty expensive, so the kitchen comes in handy. A Publix grocery store is about 3 miles down the road.

In summary, a great place to stay. Quiet, exceptionally clean, great fitness room, beautiful sunset views, comfortable bed, great beach, wonderful landscaping...a little bit of paradise!

We stayed at the Resort for 3 weeks for our first holiday with our 12 month old. We couldn't have stayed at a better place. We had a 2-bedroomed suite with full kitchen which was perfect for us as it had dishwasher, microwave plus washing machine and dryer. We were on the 10th floor with stunning views over the beach. The weather was perfect and the service impeccable. We enjoyed hiring bikes and going to nearby St Armaund's circle for shopping and food. Kilwins do great icecream and fudge! Recommended tour: kayaking in the mangroves organised through the Mote Aquarium; segway tour of Sarasota organised through Florida Everglides. We also enjoyed trips to Busch Gardens in Tampa and the Kennedy Space Center (a bit of a drive and not enough time as we only had one day, but well worth the trip).

All in all, a wonderful holiday and we would highly recommend it!
