It is walking distance from just about anything that you would want to do dinning, shopping, activities. If you are looking for a family vacation or a trip for two. I would highly recommend this location. Much better than some other places I have been too. Including Panama. Lets not forget the food. Wow... If you like FRESH crab without the franchise try Crab Shack.
Trip advisor took great care of us. There was a mix up with the check in time and they completely understood and helped me.
The only negative thing I can say is the shower head in the main bathroom needs changed it sprayed everywhere except me. Lol
The condo was just as advertised, no suprises. The location is ideal with easy beach access. John's Pass is a short walk down the street with all it has to offer and do. Mad Beach Fishhouse is directly beside the complex and I highly recommend them, their food is great and prices reasonable. Overall my daughter and I had a very nice stay.
We stayed at 409 for a week, meeting up with our daughter. The block had ample parking underneath, with the inland waterway docks directly behind. The communal areas and elevators were well kept and clean, with local guides on offer. There is a reception desk on the second floor, but not for 409 as it is independently rented; however they were very helpful and printed off our parking permit for free (which we had been told we would have to pay for) and had plenty of advice and leaflets if required. The flat itself is not far from the lift, where there are couches in the spacious hallway to relax. As you go inside there is a hallway with cupboards, a bathroom with a huge shower to the right and the small bedroom to the left. It was big enough for two top-and-tail single beds and just about walking space between. There was a cupboard with a low level rail for a few small things but no storage really and certainly no room for a bedside table or lamp. Not really a room for adults. However, it was sufficient for our needs as our daughter was only with us for a few days. Maybe for a fortnight it would be a bit cramped, especially for two. However, if you continue through there is a high table opposite the kitchen area with 2 tall chairs which looks lovely but we were alarmed to find the glass top loose and therefore did not use it. The kitchen area is well set out with everything you need and a row of 4 bar stools along the counter to eat. There is no other table actually inside but there is one on the balcony. The lounge area had a lovely leather recliner chair where we here happy to spend time, and a large sofa bed/sofa which was comfy too, opposite the TV. There were a couple of low tables with drawers full of leaflets and local information. The master bedroom also looked out toward the beach but did not open onto the balcony. The bed was large and personally I found it too hard, but that is a personal thing, my husband was perfectly comfortable. In the bedroom were spacious wardrobes, bedside chests of drawers either side with lamps and also a bigger one for further storage. There was also a comfy day bed for those siestas. Inside the wardrobe we also found children's beach toys, a body board and deck chair, which was as well as there were only 2 chairs at the table on the balcony and there were 3 of us. There was a good integral en suite with a small bath and shower over. All in all the place was spotlessly clean and well appointed for 2. I would think it could be a bit cramped for a long holiday with many children, but it was fine for the 3 of us for a week. The washer and dryer were useful and the noisy (beware!) dishwasher was great too. We spent a long time on the balcony when the sun was out, as you could see the sea and beach between the buildings opposite. There is the busy main coast road below which did spoil that a little, but a short walk across it led you to the acres of glorious white beach so all was forgiven. St John's Pass, the main tourist area and boardwalk is just a few hundred yards away (2 blocks) and we spent most evenings there and some afternoons, watching the dolphin swim up the channel. The location is absolutely ideal, quiet at night but really not far from the action. It was also convenient for touring the Tampa Bay area. With the elevator and parking beneath it would be great for disabled access too. The small pool was heated and the hot tub was to die for! Enjoy.
