Las Brisas Condominiums

I just rented a condo at Las Brisas for my sister and her children when they came down to visit through Travel Resort Services. The condo is right on the beach and the children had a blast on their boogie boards! John Pass is very closeby and the kids were able to go parasailing & deep sea fishing. My sister and I were able to partake in one of the casino cruises. Travel Resort Services had a number of Las Brisas units to choose from and we were very pleased with our gulf front unit. Madeira Beach is a fun place for children and adults alike!

We contacted Waterfront Realty to book our stay at Las Brisas; we read some reviews of units that were not kept 'up to date' and Waterfront Realty assured us that "none" of their properties fell into that category.

We LOVED the condo with just one exception - the carpet WAS NOT well vacuumed; when we first arrived, my 2-year old kept handing me things that he was finding on the carpet (i.e. jelly beans and other things he could have choked on!!). This is the only thing that I was not happy about.........

OTHERWISE - it was wonderful!!! We saw dolphins from the balcony (or just looking out the window) every single day - morning, afternoon or evening!!! The sunsets were gorgeous, the pool, beach - everything was perfect. Leatherbacks was the best meal we had within walking distance but the other places we tried were good too!! We stayed for 10 nights and didn't want to leave. We stayed in Unit 306 and would absolutely stay there again. We would also use Waterfront Realty again - they were great and easy to work with!!! Don't be afraid of Las Brisas because there are a few bad rentals - find a good unit and the place is great!!!!!!!!!!

We recently stayed at Las Brisas. Its great location right on Gulf Boulevard gave us easy access to many places. I really recommend Leatherback's Restaurant which is within walking distance from the condos. The food was exceptional. The beach access was phenomenal--just go right downstairs and you are there. Sunday AM we saw dolphins
from our balcony!! The room was clean enough-we didn't spend a ton of
time in the room, but when we were there it fit six adults comfortably enough. We REALLY enjoyed having a washer & dryer in our unit. The only downside was the elevator---it is really slow. We had a great time and would stay there again.

We also stayed at Las Brisas in april and, although first impressions were favorable from husband and myself and condo was massive for just the two of us, on investigating further I realised the photos we looked at on the webside must have been taken when condo was brand new. Carpets were stained and dirty, top counterpane on master bed was smelly, furniture was dusty, the laundry room/closet was unbelievably dusty, cobwebs everywhere (hadn't been swept in months) and we really didn't want to hang our clothes up in there. The balcony furniture I had to properly wash down before we could sit on it. However, because it was directly on the beach we overlooked the problems and enjoyed our few days there.

Were so very disappointed when we walked into Unit #205 at the Las Brisas Condo. We wanted to turn around and run as fast as we could. There were no other vacancies in town for a 3-bedroom condo, which was what we needed. I immediately bought Clorox CleanUp and cleaned bathrooms, kitchen, and all doorknobs. It was completely nasty. I went to the Realtor @ the SunHost Inn who was responsible for booking the room...I couldn't help but cry as I described the filth to them...I am sure they knew in advance what I was describing. Rotting curtains, 35 year-old furniture, peeling wallpaper, 35 year old cabinets, etc....I spread sheets over all the furniture before sitting on it. I would leave the patio doors open, only to have the person's cigarette smoke from the next condo blow into our room. The agent did come to see if I was imagining all of this, so I got my white rag and wiped grime off drawers, vent covers, countertops, etc. The oven is dripping rust...so no cooking should take place. By the way...the only great thing was the weather....We stayed OUT of the condo as much as possible....The picture on the internet was just that...a picture of a dream condo....Instead, it was a nightmare!!!!

We take exception to the review from AquariumCreature regarding #205 Las Brisas. Management made several attempts to address the complaints and were shunned.
For Future renters of Las Brisas 205 ->>>Upon departure management met with the owners of this unit. Renovations have been taken. All new appliances, including over the stove microwave. All drapes have been replaced with vertical and mini blinds. The furnishings are modern and you can see them by searching Sunhost Resorts website.
Any questions don't hesitate to call us.
We have many happy renters for this unit. This is the only complaint we have received.

Last summer, we stayed in a Las Brisas condo. We paid the going rate through a travel agency who had several condos in this building available. We needed something with 3 bedrooms so Las Brisas seemed the logical choice. However, when we arrived, the unit was so poorly kept I wanted to turn around and go back home. The wall paper was peeling off of the walls in the bedroom. The dresser drawers were warped and falling apart. The silverware and cooking items were minimal and damaged. All of the interior furnishings were extremely old and unstable. It was like stepping back into the 1970's. There was one elevator in the parking area with NO SECURITY at any time. I have rented quite a few places on the beach over the years and I can honestly say that this unit has not been updated since the building was built!! If you should stay here, make sure the condo has be "recently updated"! We complained to the rental agency, but they just shrugged their shoulders! Maderia Beach is a beautiful place. It's ashame that someone would take every penny of profit and not put something back into their investment!
