Can't believe we've lived in this area for years and had no idea such a great place was right around the corner. Before you leave the Disney area know this. It's small, took us about 45 minutes to go through the park and we took our time. That being said, It was a great experience. We saw about 20 different types of birds. All being cared for by this wonderful organization. We learned how they were injured and how they try to rehabilitate them and release those that can live back into the wild. The owls were by far our favorite. It's only $5 adults, $4 for children and they give you a book to take on your self guided tour. The book was fabulous. It tells you everything you wanted to know about each of the "residence", their name, how they got there, and why. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. If you have the time...GO!

Get out of the theme park crowd and see what the outdoors has to offer. The center is run by big hearts, a group of volunteers who care and rehabilitate these birds. We have visited several times, and my children love it. The volunteers are all very friendly and offer a plethora of information. You get real close to these birds and truly get to see and enjoy the beauty these raptors have to offer.

You can have a leisurely visit that can last an hour, or bring a talkative school aged child and make it last three hours! Check out their website and see what the inside of a cage looks like with their live web cam-Eagle eyes on the environment! This is a must see for the outdoor enthusiast or the little future vet!

A great place to take the kids! Real birds not robots like at Disney. We live in the area and bring guests there. They love it.
Just today while walking some man stopped me and asked where it was...he was taking an injured hawk he found there. They care for injured birds.

We're sure it's been said before, but this is a true hidden gem for the Central Florida area. It truly makes me proud to have this facility in my town. These birds are well taken care of, clean enclosures, staff & volunteers truly care about this place. Love the fact that the guidebook you are given to use has the backstory on each bird!!! Interesting, educational, & an absolute bargain at $5.00 per person. Do yourself a favor & make the time to visit !!!

Went a couple of years ago. It's a very cool place to see raptors up close. Gotta like the work they do here to rehabilitate birds and release them back into the wild (when/if they are healthy enough to go back). Especially great to take children.
