We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and were promptly greeted by Owner Rory and quickly seated. It is a small establishment that filled up quickly and just as quickly emptied. We ordered the Lump Blue Crab Cakes and Fried Green Tomato Stack which were served as Tapas. There were three of each. They were both tasty with nice sauces. The house Merlot was adequate. The Jazz trio that played were good but nothing out of the ordinary. The down side to Jazz Tastings is the $5.00 cover charge. It's a nice place to go for a change but we probably won't be regulars. There are alot of really nice places to go eat and hear music that do not charge a cover. The owner needs to pay for the jazz - not the patrons.

We came here on a Sunday evening. Really nice atmosphere very friendly staff. Owner, musicians and even the chef like to mingle and make everyone feel welcome. It's very busy on Friday and Saturday nights a good time to go is on Sunday 5-9 or during the week where you're guaranteed a seat. It's closed on Mondays.

The menu is absolutley wonderful and different ... In response to recent review... It's about time that food is different... There's no need for consistancy or theme because than its just like every other boring place... The food is a perfect example of tapas style cuisine... There is a well balance of flavors that hit your palate just right... I guess only open minded people and true foodies will understand...It's about time we have a place like this... Great food...great wine... And great ambiance

My husband had seen this small restaurant opening near a gym he uses. The attraction of live Jazz music was too much to pass. We went there with close friends and had a fabulous evening. We went early on a Sunday with the live music starting at 5. A single guitar player was there but a full jazz quartet plays on several evenings. The musical evening was wonderful and very entertaining. The owner is there and engages all patrons-several times during the evening. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The wine list is adequate; everyone could fine something pleasing. The food is excellent. It is a Tapas bar so servings are small but more that adequate. We always share and "try" each others' dishes. The Goat Cheese was wonderful, REQUIRING us to order a second serving(6 pieces on each plate with a light plum sauce). The Beef Tournedos was very tender and perfectly cooked, scallops nicely done and and Pork Belly with couscous was tasty as well. The Fried Green Tomatoes were a touch too "firm" but the mozzarella and Horseradish Dill Remoulade MADE the dish! Anything on the menu sounded great. It is not a place for kids so please don't bring yours :-) Relaxing adult atmosphere, great food and comfortable-not large. Heading back next week!!

Jazz Tastings came up on a random search the other day and I was so excited to hear about a live jazz, tapas, wine bar nearby! My husband and I have always wanted a place to listen to live jazz and have some drinks and light food and this sounded perfect.
I will say that I think this place has a lot of areas to improve but that doesn't mean we didn't enjoy ourselves.
The jazz music was FANTASTIC. The food was good. Some more so than others. The pork belly was excellent as were the crab cakes. The desserts we both had were delicious. The mussels were very very fishy and the scallops were perfectly cooked but were perhaps under seasoned. I think our mistake (not theirs) was going for dinner. We were thinking tapas as in Ceviche. The menu wasn't big enough for our table to make it a dinner. We were satisfied with the food, don't get me wrong. But we would go back for appetizers or dessert rather than dinner.
I think the menu could benefit from some tweaking. There wasn't really a consistent theme or cuisine and we thought maybe they'd be better off just doing tapas and not the salads that are offered somewhat randomly.
We also wished there were more wines offered.
Overall, we would definitely go back again but not for a full meal. It got very busy later on the evening bc it was a wonderful atmosphere.
The owners were pleasantly very active in the restaurant and among customers. Our waitress seemed new and didn't know much about the menu, wine or beer. She was very soft spoken and therefore hard to hear and sometimes she would leave our table full of empty plates and glasses. That's why my service score is where it was. It has room for improvement but was by no means a disaster.
