This is a beautiful white sand island that must be reached by boat. The water is very clear, there are an abundance of shells, and tons of fish and dolphin playing off shore. I would have given this place a 5 star but they found a dead 6ft Burmese python on the island in Sept. I will revisit, but won't be as comfortable visiting the next time! Yikes!

Been going here for years. Always a great time. It's anything you want it to be. You can fish, go for walks, collect shells, grill, party, etc... When the tide is right you can grab a beer and float your way from one end of the island to the other. Then take a nice walk back to where you started. Watch the tides though as you could come back and find your boat or wave runner floating away. It's also cool to take a trip behind the island through the mangroves. It can get confusing so have a map with you.

Didn't find the attraction here that other reviews gave. We rented a boat for the day and included this island on our agenda. Didn't think it had anything special to make it a special destination. Glad we had other places included. Shelling wasn't any better than marco island.

We rented a boat at Rosie's Marina (50% off during the month of September) and navigated our way to the island. Along the way we saw several dolphins, which was very cool. Navigating was a bit hard at first, but once we figured out the map, we were good to go. (We did hit a sand bar once though).
The island was basically deserted, only 5 boats there total. The water was absolutely crystal clear and the sand was so soft. We felt like we were in Aruba.
We had the boat from 10 til 4 and it was a real fun and relaxing way to spend the day. If you Re a beach lover, this is for you!
Make sure you pack a cooler as there is NOTHING there, this is just an uninhabited island.

The only care is if the tide will reach your chair! Super peaceful, clear water, and lots of shells, We took the Dolphin Explorer Pontoon to the island and the ride out was very peaceful also. We saw Manatees and Dolphins along the way. Wear a swim suit so you can relax in the water.
