“Best Thanksgiving Ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2011

We rented two adjoining rooms for Thanksgiving Day. We were given an early check in, and the bell hops were fabulous! My Mom has a lot of equipment due to oxygen needs, and it was handled with tact and understanding on their part. Great start!
Our rooms were beautiful, with both a gulf and pool view, no upgrade necessary. The staff made sure the rooms were adjoining, and took care of all of our needs with a smile.
After a great afternoon at the pool, we all went to the Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was excellent, and even this was our first time eating out on the holiday, it was the best decision that we could have made. There were so many choices even a kids buffet with chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese to make our 6 year old twins extra happy.
The grounds of this hotel are beautiful, and extremely well-kept. It the morning we saw that the pool was being power washed, and they have a special zamboni style sidewalk cleaner to keep the sand away.
The beach here is WIDE, WHITE, and SOFT! We found beautiful shells and even used the special shell table to clean them after. Once again, Marriott does it right!
Don't miss the sunsets!!!

Room Tip: All are great!

This was my second stay at this resort and I have to say that once again, it met and exceeded my expectations! Everything went perfectly from check-in to check-out, and that is what makes a vacation incredibly relaxing, when there is nothing to worry about from start to finish. The customer service here is top notch! The head valet, Jeff, went out of his way to chat with us every time we came/left the resort, so friendly. The front desk staff just can't be beat for excellent service, Angie especially went out of her way to make sure everything was just right for our getaway and was really willing to help in any way! We ate brunch at Tropiks and it was really delicious and the service there was very good too! This place is a beach lover's delight! We had amazing wildlife experiences on the beach here...We saw a group of over 15 dolphins jumping and swimming close to shore. A huge school of mullet (bait ball), completely darkened the water, and darted close to the shore with large game fish (Tarpon) jumping in the air to eat them. We came across an adult stingray that washed on the beach, and saw two osprey while walking the beach. Truly remarkable experiences! Also, there are so many shells to gather, its a shelling dream! The room was clean and large with everything you need, and I particularly like the large balconies. In regards to people commenting about paying for umbrellas, parking, or internet access...We have found that these are typical costs for almost all resorts on Marco, and most Florida beach resorts.

We stayed for one night at the end of September for a quick getaway from Toronto. Initially we were only going to be staying in the Miami area, but after doing some research online, we decided to drive over to Marco Island for one night. We wished we had stayed their the entire time! Unfortunately they were fully booked the rest of the nights of our trip. We were there to celebrate a birthday and we received an awesome upgrade and service from Alex at the front desk.

This was our first time to the area and it was amazing! The beach is beautiful, and the service at the hotel is second to none. We are Marriott Gold rewards members and we've stayed at Marriott properties worldwide, and this one is definitely the best Marriott that we've ever stayed at!

Thank you for an amazing and memorable trip! We will be sure to be back.

Our family of 10 stayed at the Marco Island Marriott resort for 7 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. We stayed in a total of 6 rooms including a suite. All the rooms are generously sized and newly refurbished. The bedding/linens are new with a variety of pillows. The tv is newer, with a decent amount of programming offered including HBO and some "pay for" movies. The bathrooms are nice and large including walk-in closets. In-room safes, mini fridges and coffee/tea makers are included. Our safe actually had 2 problems (both caused by us) and the resort sent someone to open our safe quickly & with a sense of humor (always appreciated). The coffee/tea were stocked daily.
The grounds of the resort are beautiful and lush. The swimming pool had an additional kiddie area which is a nice offering, even though it didn't apply to us. The beach is FABULOUS! It's wide and deep with beautiful, powdery sand. Shelling is a fun activity since the seashells are widely available. The resort offers full bar/restaurant items which are delivered via golf cart. We ordered lunch/drinks daily and all things came in a decent amount of time and were delicious/fairly priced. Our only complaint was that the thatched beach huts are an "extra" charge. This is sort of tacky....to pay for shade. Personally we'd prefer that the Marriott tack on a few bucks to our room charge.
The resort underwent a remodel recently and it shows. Everything is in great shape and clean. Several nice shops are on the property as well as eating establishments.
We are a family of frequent travelers and have had hit or miss experiences with Marriotts. The Marco Island Marriott is a definite hit. The price over the holiday was very fair. We had a great time overall and the Marriott was absolutely responsible for providing us with a wonderful place to relax and enjoy ourselves.

Room Tip: It appears that the suites face the ocean. However, even the basic rooms have some ocean viewing.

We stood here for my bday weekend. It was me, wife and two girls (4 and 6mos). The resort is very impressive inside out, amazing pools, beach, customer service, but what amazed me the most was how darn good the food was! We had breakfast at the Tropics and it was one of the best bfast buffets I've been too. We also had lunch at the Quinn's and it was also delicious. Finally for dinner we tried the Korals, which is a sushi bar restaurant inside by the lobby and it was incredible! The sushi was so fresh, and I tried raw oysters for the first time... interesting. I only wish that hotels/resorts would pay as much attention to their food as this resort does!

We drove from Orlando (4 hour drive) and will most likely do it again for the 2012 summer.

Room Tip: Get the valet service. Parking is across the street.

Stayed here for a conference but the hotel was fantastic. The rooms are large and well appointed; no need to pay for an upgrade, each room could see the ocean. A family of four could easily fit in these rooms and be comfortable plus there is a compact refrigerator and a balcony with seating. The pools, spa, and workout facility were excellent. The staff is very attentive. My only gripe is that only one person can use Wi-Fi in the room at a time; the other person has to use a land-line. Plus there was a daily charge for WiFi whereas in much cheaper hotels, it is free. Besdie that it is a world class hotel whether for a vacation, romantic getaway or business trip.

Room Tip: Don't worry about the room; they all have ocean views. We were in the back and worried about if...

We have been going to this hotel for our anniversary for several years . I have already booked for next year. The beach is white , the water is blue ,the drinks are cold, the food is fabulous the fishing is fantastic, the shopping is endless and the hotel makes you feel at home without all of the stress. You must watch the sunsets with a drink or a fishing rod in hand (and camera).
