This Marriott does many things right and because of that, my family and I had a great vacation. The beach is outstanding and the service is impeccable from top to bottom. Everything is clean and everyone that works here is friendly. I've never been to a place that has such well trained staff. If you are looking for a place to go that has it all, this place is for you. The only down side at all is just like all other reviewers have mentioned, it is very expensive!!! The drinks are pricey, the restaurants are pricey. We had a large group so we had to go out a couple of times rather than spend a boatload at the in-house restaurants. We had kids with us so had to stick with eating at Quinns. This place has great food but they need another restaurant with a buffet for dinner that serves the needs of families. We bought tons of stuff at a local grocery store so we didn't need to eat breakfast or lunch at this place. That was really the only downside and I wouldn't let it stop me from going back.

Room Tip: Ask for room that has gulf view. If you have mobility issues, ask for room close to the lobby.

While we didn't get to sample everything this resort has to offer, we were very impressed with those things we did experience--the food, the rooms, the views, the beach, the pools, the staff. The one exception was the tennis clinic. first of all, they book way too many people for one court and one pro. 12 people for one court? seriously? to make matters worse, the pro, Greg, just doesn't give a damn, and it shows. the limit of his creativity was a "queen of the court drill" and the two strongest men, who were way better than the rest of us, were paired up and became kings of the court the entire time, meaning the rest of us spent most of the time just standing around. He gave almost no feedback to drill participants, and even had a bit of an attitude. After 35 minutes of this I got fed up and went off and hit with another woman in the clinic.

I still gave this resort the highest rating because everything else made up for this shortcoming.

Room Tip: The ocean view rooms are spectacular.

Great resort on one of the best beaches in Florida. I have been coming here for 20 years and it only gets better with age. The renovation was fantastic with a few new restaurants and plenty of good choices. Our favorite is Quinn's on the beach during sunsets! It was packed during Christmas week and the hotel did a good job of keeping us happy.

Room Tip: The ocean front rooms are worth the extra money.

Nice hotel, good room but over priced. Main pool area was good but very crowded. Restaurants expensive so had to travel out for meals. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location on the beach but overall overpriced with no entertainment on offer unless you want yo watch sport on the TVs at the beach bar.

I came here with my family on two separate occasions. It's quite pricey; however, it's an exceptional vacation destination with kind, helpful staff, absolutely delicious restaurants, clean rooms, and impeccably-manicured grounds. The only downside is the immense struggle of finding a spot to sunbathe near the pool during their busier seasons. All in all, if you're willing to spend money and enjoy limitlessly pampering yourself, this is the hotel for you!

We had a great visit over the Xmas holidays. Staff was extremely polite and courteous. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. A must do is the catamaran sailing and sea-shelling exhibition. We also got a beach tiki hut and it was a must. Food at the resort was very good. We loved the spa! Did a day pass one day what a deal!! We cant wait to go back!!

Room Tip: Palm tower rooms were great!

Did not stay at the hotel, but enjoyed the spa several times. Hot stone, sea shell massages and facials really added to the relaxation portion of our vacation. The facility is clean, extensive with steam, sauna, whirlpool and cold plunge pool. Spa has its own pool free of "marco polo" chants. Staff was great and we all enjoyed our time. My sister, who is particular, really enjoyed the sea shell massage...warmed shells on oiled body...priceless!!
