Our party of 4 adults stayed for one night in the 2 bed 2bath unit.Everything was just right, they changed the down comforter and changed the bedlinen ,as I am allergic to down and bleach, without any problems. The large balcony overlooking the lake was fabulous.Sitting out with our cocktails in the evening before dinner was so relaxing. We can highly recommend the Lakeside Inn to everyone.

It was my fist trip to Marco Island ,I was there for a Wedding , which was taking place at another venue at 5pm, I explained how close 3pm check in was to getting ready and the front desk was very accommodative, the place was clean and nice and the actual photo on there website is a true testimon of what is available.I would highly recommend the Lakes and would definately stay there again.

We stayed at the Lakside inn in Jan this year and had a great time.
We stayed with friends in the 2 bedroom suite and it was fab.
It was very clean and well furnished and we had a patio overlooking the lake which was great because we had breakfast out there both mornings.
The staff were pleasant and very imformative about the local area.
All in all a great stay and we would 100% stay again.

Thank you.

The Marco Island Lakeside Inn is the perfect place to stay for those people who want to experience Marco Island away from the atmosphere of the large resorts and high-rises. It is a clean, pleasant retreat and perfect for families. The prices are economical and reasonable, considering the personalized service that is provided by the staff of the inn.

We found the Lakeside Inn to be a wonderful retreat. Located only a mile or two from the beach, it is still removed enough from the main tourist areas to be quiet and restful. The rooms were clean and roomy, and actually looked like the photos on the Inn's website. We enjoyed the warm water in the pool and often had it completely to ourselves. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hint: We stayed in rooms 107 & 108 which are actually on the second floor but had great views of the Lake from the bedroom and screened in Lanai.

We chose Marco Lakeside Inn because it was not a high rise hotel, and it was affordable. The room was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and there was a roomy sitting area. We knew when we made the reservations that ours was a room with only a partial view of the lake, which turned out to be a fairly small, nondescript body of water. The white lattice fence on the small balcony does hide an unpleasant view of a parking lot and low rent residences next door, however could not drown out the noise of loud music, talking and cars from those residences. The location of the Inn is convenient by car to shopping and restaurants. Although walking to some of those areas is possible, the walk is not particularly visually appealing. Staff did respond promptly when the air conditioning would not come on when we checked in. Staff also responded promptly to our complaint of the smell of exhaust fumes in the bedroom. The air conditioning filter was changed. However, the smell was still there, although stronger at times than others, so we let it go.The pool area is pleasant and clean with plenty of cushioned chairs for lounging. We were not disappointed with the Lakeside Inn, but we were disappointed with Marco Island in general. Access to the ocean is very limited. We couldn't even find a place to stop and look at the ocean much less have an oceanside dinner or cocktail hour. There are two public beaches, one with very limited parking and no facilities and the other a lagoon area where the ocean is only accessible by wading across knee deep water (with towels, chairs, coolers, etc.!)

My husband wanted to attend a conference at the Marriott, and prices at all of the oceanfront resorts seemed exorbitant, so we decided to look for another place to stay. Thankfully we found and chose the Lakeside Inn! The Lakeside Inn was a great place to stay - the property is very pretty and well-kept, with nice landscaping and a delightfully warm pool; it also has a cute beach area with tiki hut. All staff were very helpful and provided great recommendations for things to do on Marco. Room 208 was very comfortable and clean and we liked where it was located (near the property's beach and pool). The room could use some updating in the kitchen area, but it was nice to have the kitchen to use for snacks and drinks. We had a rental car, so it was no trouble getting around the small island of Marco. Not to miss: watching the sunset from Marco's public beach area, dinner at Snook Inn in Marco (nice salad/bread bar is included with your meal; delicious beer-battered grouper sandwich! waterfront), kayaking to uninhabited island from Island of Capri (Saltwater Sports; saw dolphins! get drinks/early bird dinner after at Capri Fish House), Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary (long boardwalk through forest/marsh/swamp - great wildlife viewing! 1 hour from Marco), Naples Zoo (nice place to walk on beautiful day; also offers 20-min boat cruise to primate islands - included with admission - 35 min from Marco), early bird dinner at Blu Fusion in Marco - get Walla Walla chicken and lava cake- YUM!). Do not take an airboat cruise through the Everglades if you do not like high speeds - I found it very scary and 1 hour was too long on board - would have rather canoed or taken a regular boat cruise. Weather was GREAT in March - low 80s in day, 70s at night. It was a great trip!!! More on food: Oceanfront dining at Marco Marriot was pricey, but worth it - good food, plentiful, awesome view.
