What a beautiful place to stay on Marco Island! The house had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The pool and patio area was lovely (the kids especially loved this!), The kitchen was well-equipped for any cooking we wanted to do, though there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby as well. I especially appreciated the full set of plastic dishes and cups so we didn't need to worry about the kids breaking stuff! Beds were comfortable and included plenty of extra pillows, sheets and blankets. If you like going to the beach, it is a bit of a walk but the house has a handy wagon to pull beach chairs/coolers/sand pails/etc. And we never minded the walk. We can't wait to go back next year!
We thought the property was great and got many compliments from several people who visited us while we were there. We had everything we needed.
Clausen Properties was nice to deal with, prompt and responsive when we had a question once about the pool heater.
The house has been nicely renovated, works well in terms of traffic flow and entertaining. My favorite part of the stay was sitting on the lanai every morning and going for an afternoon swim as well. Oh, and the fresh seafood available just a few minutes away was fabulous!
My college friends and I adored our stay here - the pool and patio were perfect for relaxing, the kitchen and grill excellent for making meals together, and the bedrooms all very comfortable. VERY close to beach and other amenities. And Sue was a very responsive and thoughtful host. Highly recommend, would love to go back!
We immediately felt right at home. Beautifully updated, clean, and cozy. All essentials provided, utensils, pots, pans, dishes, etc. as well as pool toys and a beach cart (and books and board games for rainy hours). Residents' Beach is off-limits to renters, but public beach access is only a few minutes' walk from the house. You have to cross Collier, but the crosswalk is the most violently protected crosswalk I've ever seen...sensors flash to oncoming traffic (and you literally stop traffic) before you step into the street. The beach is uncrowded in the off-season. Tons of shells. We spent most of our time on the northern end of the beach, including Tigertail Beach/Sand Dollar Spit. (We found it easier to walk to Sand Dollar Spit on the Gulf side during low tide rather than cross the murky lagoon from Tigertail Beach...simply check the tide chart. Low-tide is also the best time for shelling. It's not hard to get to Sand Dollar Spit, but we had the entire place to ourselves. Wade through the Gulf. You won't regret it.)
We enjoyed meals on the breezy lanai, and we all loved the pool. Even though the walk to the beach is short, we spent so much time walking ON the beach that we were exhausted by the time we returned to the house, and the pool was a welcome relief. We have fisherpeople in the family who enjoyed fishing both from the dock and at the beach.
Supermarkets are a short drive up Collier Blvd or San Marco Rd and very reasonable. A Wal-Mart Supercenter sits at the corner of Hwy. 41 and Collier, a few miles north of the Jolley Bridge on to Marco Island. A good point to grab anything you forgot before (or after) starting vacation. All very clean and well-appointed, considering options are limited!
An empty lot on Buttercup Ct features cordoned-off owl burrows. Loggerhead turtles on the beach are protected as well. And a critical wildlife area on Sand Dollar Spit is home to so many unique birds. One day we even observed a massive osprey chowing on two fish, one in each talon grip! Marco Island takes conservation very seriously and you get a close-up view.
This is no MTV Spring Break type of place. This was our first visit to Marco Island, and we loved it. The town is geared to residents, but that is a good thing for family vacationers...the beaches are pristine compared to other beaches we've visited in Florida. Rules are enforced, but the rules are completely reasonable and purely common-sense.
In short (!) a beautiful home, surpassed our expectations. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.
We stayed at this home for a week in December. We could not have asked for anything more perfect! The house has it all - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a GORGEOUS lanai with a pool and hot tub, amazing working kitchen, beautifully decorated, modern home. The owners provided everything you could need - pots and pans, utensils, a grill, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, a beach cart to carry everything, an iron, washer/dryer - you name it they have it. You are a 15 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to either end of the island where you can find great restaurants, activities like mini golf or the movies, etc. Make sure when you come you check out the sunset - it's unlike anything you have ever seen.
Great place! Beautiful home in great neighborhood. Pool and hot tub in the screened lanai with plenty of seating for the wonderful Marco sunshine! Located within walking distance to beach, restaurants and shopping for convenience. Couldn't have been happier for the week visit with friends in this gorgeous home.

Stayed 7 nights with 2 adults and 4 kids. Perfect setup for large group. The house was amazing. Felt like a huge 5 star hotel. Canal view and access was incredible. Beach access was a little difficult but manageable. Wish there was closer parking to beach access. Would definitely do it again!
