“Excellent food - don't be put off by appearances!”
Reviewed 30 July 2009

We went to this restaurant for the first time for dinner on our anniversary, on the recommendation of my brother-in-law, who had only ever been for lunch, and after reading the reviews here, which, although having problems with the personell(!) had no criticism of the food. We did encounter the WWOW (see the other reviews) but she was extremely courteous, and indeed invited us to a cognac on learning of our celebration. The food was uniformly excellent, and not pretentious, and not covered in unnecessary rich and creamy sauces The fish (grouper and mahi mahi) was perfectly cooked and very fresh - my only criticism was that the New Orleans butter sauce was too strong in flavor for the mahi mahi and rather obliterated the taste; the grenoblaise sauce with the grouper was perfect. I would especially compliment the seared tuna we took as a starter, a magnificent Sicilian fish soup that came with the entree - full of vegetables and fish, with a hearty taste but not too spicy - vegetables crisp and simply cooked, and a key lime pie which my wife declared after the first bite to have alone been worth the visit. The outside is very unpreposessing, inside is better, though two tables we tried were too warm. But try out this restaurant - we were totally won over by the cuisine and can't wait to return

“An absolute MUST”
Reviewed 18 November 2008

I can't remember the waitress' name, but there was the fantastic level of service, attention to detail and an upstate NY accent that just made her more charming. Much thanks to her.
The food is out of this world. The martini's are great. The chef here is so in touch with how to provide variety without sacrificing the basic flavor and joy of FRESH seafood. I'd give a recommendation for some particular food/dish, but it's all so fantastic, just find your own path to culinary bliss.

“Great Experience”
Reviewed 22 October 2008

My husband and I are on vacation in Satellite Beach with our daughter and my husbands parents. This was our first meal out together since our daughter was born seven months ago and it was amazing! We reached the Pineda Crossing and weren't too sure about the appearance; it looked a bit flashy and we were looking for a casual fine dining experience. We decided to go inside anyways and were delighted by the interior. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with candle lighting on the tables and soft lighting throughout the room. We were seated right away and immediately a server came over to take our drink order and tell us about the specials. The specials sounded delicious, however we had already perused the menu at home and had a pretty good idea of what we wanted. My husband ordered the surf and turf which came with a filet mignon and lobster tail, with a vegetable medley and potatoes Au Gratin. He said it was melt in your mouth steak with an extra buttery lobster tail; a sure reorder. I ordered the Peppercorn Strip substituted with a Filet Mignon instead of the Strip which also came with the vegetable medley and Au Gratin potatoes. It was also melt in your mouth delicious! For desert we finished with Creme Broule and it was not disappointing. Not too sweet, not too bland; just right! The only disappointment was the sides of potato and vegetables. The potatoes were alright, and the veggies could have been a bit more exciting, but overall the meal was fabulous! For the two of us with one alcoholic beverage each, our entrees and desert cost just over $100 US which was an exceptional price for the meal we received. Absolutely phenomenal! We would recommend it over and over.

“Upscale Casual”
Reviewed 14 January 2008

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They have a good balance between quallity & price. It's a good place to go when you're not really sure what you want to eat. The menu runs the gamut from fried chicken to pecan crusted Mahi-Mahi, with the usual steaks & fish choices in between. In addition, the nightly specials add to the choice. The fact that you can get this very good food in a casual, unpretenous atmosphere keeps us going back.

The only knock I have with the place is the fact that they only accept reservations for groups of 5 or larger. On weekend nights, this often means a wait in the bar before a table opens up.
