“Great Accomodations”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

We stayed here for a getaway weekend. The rooms are fantastic, the AC ice cold and the beach is all to yourself. Friendly staff and a great place to stay! It is right on the beach and away from the Melbourne crowds. If you want a quiet place to stay where you can have your coffee overlooking the ocean, then this is the place for you. The rooms have a great kitchen and view of the ocean!

Just finished my fourth stay at Sea View. As you may guess this place has become a "home away from home" for my family. On this last trip I brought my 93 y/o dad for the trip. Was able to enjoy unit #1, with it's ocean's edge view. Even had a Green Turtle come right up to the sea wall before sun set for some awesome viewing. Just love this place, owners & manager Amy!!

My family and I spent a weekend this past June, during the weekend of the "super full moon" to spend time together and enjoy Turtle walking on the beach with our brother and sister who are part of the Flager County Turtle Patrol and who are very active in all marine life conservation.
It was a wonderful to experience and share my brother Rock's passion with him and learn all about The various turtles who nest alongthe Archie Carr Wildlife Rescue which is where this lovely hotel is located.
Private beaches and wonderful accommodations and staff mead our stay so pleasant and memorable. We all plan to come back to see the little hatchlings find their way to the ocean so that this wonderful cycle of life can continue for a very long time.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the amenities were great!
I hate to brag too much about the place because I'd love to keep it a secret and all to myself but, it's just too nice a place not to share.
We had a great time and will definitely return again.
Thanks
Elizabeth Mollica and Marilyn Morelli

Having Rock & the whole family here was a delight! We enjoyed meeting you both and are excited to have some of the family back for another stay in the Fall. The turtles are certainly the main attraction this time of year, in addition to the amazing & quiet beach. Thanks so much for the review - see you soon!

Stayed recently for three nights for a mini break. We were in room seven, ground floor which was immaculate and had everything we needed. The decor was very cute and beachy and the bed comfy. Kitchen was well equipped too and the coffee was a nice touch. We loved how sunny and bright the room was and the little view of the ocean from the kitchen.
The grounds were beautiful and well kept with many interesting plants and lizards. Parking is super convenient - right outside the room so unloading and reloading was easy and fast. The shared outdoor area was the best part- we met other guests and enjoyed watching the holiday fireworks with everyone. This was a highlight- at one point we counted 10 seperate displays up on the down the beach. And the beach- we have been to a few and this one is a real beauty. Wide, clean, deserted for the most part- pretty water and turtle tracks everywhere (we never saw one but didn't try that hard!). Beach access was very close to all room and just a small set of steps- easy to navigate with all the beach stuff we haul around.
The area itself in nice too- we enjoyed Sebastian Inlet for a day and downtown Melbourne has nice shops and a great Irish pub. The little German spot across from the hotel was good also.
Amy was a perfect hostess and was always great to work with. We felt as though we were visiting friends here- so much better than a big chain hotel. Would love to return!

We stayed at the Seaview Motel for 3 nights at the end of May. Our little studio apartment was clean, bright and simple, with a wonderful view straight out to the sea. We loved being able to walk straight down to the beach with our toddler, picking up the thoughtfully provided buckets and spades en route. We were made to feel very welcome by Casey and Amy. My husband was even lucky enough to see a sea turtle laying her eggs on the beach barely 200m from the apartment! It was a perfect base to explore the coast, and visit the Kennedy Space Centre. Highly recommended, wish we could have stayed for longer.

The location of the Sea View is as good as it gets if you like the blue green ocean empty beach areas crawling with egg laying sea turtles. We definitely do. The night we were there, 27 sea turtles of the species loggerhead, leather(something) and green came up to the berm to lay eggs. Several arrived within 50 feet of the hotel.

Sea coast Melbourne as well as a bit north and south is a good deal less crowded than either the surrounding areas. Now I'm not saying this is Outback deserted, but we spent a good deal of time on the beach often not seeing another human within a half mile of us. A downside of this is that there are many sea shells here which your wife will gather up and make packing for your trip home difficult. Owell.

The sea isn't near any outlets of any sort (sewage or river) so the water is a beautiful blue reminiscent of the Bahamas. OK, it's not that clear but waves and wavelets better than areas such as St. Augustine or Ft. Lauderdale.

The resort itself consists of an old motel undergoing a refurbishment by the current owners / manager. The rooms have complete kitchens, but are short closet space (ours was short anyway). All rooms have a sea view with the two premium rooms having what can only be described as a spectacular sea view.

In addition there is are porches either overlooking the sea or in a sheltered area good for outdoor cooking (BBQ's provided) and eating. The place is beyond friendly and laid back. Although there for only a day, we were invited to a cookout where we met some interesting people who were enjoying their anniversary.

Overall what you have is an ok hotel / resort in a spot which is beyond great. We will be back.

Room Tip: Reserve the ocean front rooms for the best but note: two night stay minimum.

We stayed at the gorgeous Sea View Motel in Dec 2012. It is situated in a lovely, beautiful, secluded strip of beach. Though it is still close to useful shops. The owners were friendly, warm, understanding, and great hosts.i cannot recommend this place enough if you want s quiet and relaxing holiday!!! 10 out of 10
