SeaGlass Inn Bed and Breakfast
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 30 June 2014

The SeaGlass Inn was the perfect B & B experience. From the quaint rooms, to the way Richard made my husband and I feel welcome. All of the added extras the Inn included, that you don't get at a big resort were a refreshing surprise. Such as the beach cruisers, umbrellas and beach towels. The water and ice stocked in the mini fridge in the room. The relaxed conversation Richard provides during the 5PM wine and cheese hour. Steve's excellent service at breakfast and Fergi's ever changing, unbeatable food. Her breakfast was better than breakfasts we have had at multiple Ritz-Carlton's, better than the W in Viaques, and better than Jade Mountain in St. Lucia! Do not hesitate to stay here. I know we will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for an early 4-year Anniversary getaway. This area in FL was new to us and we were nervous and unclear about what to expect. What was very clear before we even arrived, though, was that we knew we loved this beautiful property - it was something about the feeling we got when we booked with SeaGlass that said, "You made an excellent choice." However, never in a million years could we have prepared ourselves for such a breath-taking experience. It was pure paradise - unarguably the best vacation we've ever taken. Richard & Jeanne and their entire staff are laid-back, knowledgeable, amazing people who made us feel like we were part of their family. All were very hospitable and attentive. We were truly spoiled by Steve and Fergie at breakfast! The food was so delicious! The property is absolutely gorgeous; it will have you speechless. It's so clean, flawless and spotless - you could "eat off the floor"! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, relaxing, intimate and each have their own style. It's also close to eateries and the beach, of course. The beach is beautiful, clean and uncrowded! This community is small, but has a charm that definitely has to be experienced. The only thing we disliked was that we didn't stay longer. It made us sad to leave. We will definitely be coming back to stay - for a longer time. It was the best vacation choice we've ever made. It's our new "go-to spot" and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Seaglass Inn in Melbourne Beach for a few days, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. First and foremost, the innkeeper, Richard, and his entire staff and all so friendly and hospitable; it was a pleasure getting to know all of them. The property is beautiful and charming, with lovely landscaping. The room was sparkling clean, and every amenity was thought of and provided. They even have bicycles available for guests who would like to use them. The location was ideal, with both the inland waterway and the amazing ocean beach both within easy walking distance. And last, but not least, the breakfasts were superb. They have two breakfast chefs, and both do an amazing job. Not only is breakfast delicious, but it's also beautifully presented... a feast for both the stomach and the eyes!
If we ever make it back to Melbourne Beach again, we will most definitely stay at the Seaglass Inn... We highly recommend it!

Such a wonderful find in the relaxed community of Melbourne Beach. Very central location and easy enough to walk everywhere. The property is lovely and charming and the rooms are beautiful, reflecting the history of the building but with great style and all mod cons. We loved sitting out in the tropical garden courtyard. We felt so welcomed by Richard and thoroughly spoiled by Steve (and Fergie) for breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing, tasty, generous, interesting, such a treat! Only shame that we couldn't stay longer! We definitely want to come back!

Very accommodating. Got in after 11pm due to travel issues but were greeted warmly by Steven, our innkeeper. Rooms were flawless and spotless. Tons of amenities. Right near the beach and great local eateries and watering holes. Wish we could have stayed longer but will be back as soon as possible without a doubt. Richard, owner, was also friendly and grateful for our patronage.

My husband and I spent the weekend in the Treehouse loft. We could not have had a better weekend. The location is wonderful with easy access to sunsets at the river or a short stroll to the beach. Bicycles are available to enjoy. The grounds are beautifully kept with landscaping and flowers. The patio has several nice areas for relaxation or to meet other guests. The fire pit is an especially nice touch. Our room was bright and lovely. Our host for the weekend was Steve. I cannot imagine a better person for the job. His attention to detail was amazing. Breakfast is something very special and absolutely not to be missed. This inn exceeded every expectation we could have had. We look forward to our next visit.

This was our first visit to the Sea Glass Inn for Easter weekend. Richard is the perfect host. He makes you feel special. Upon arriving, he showed us his beautiful property, including our well-appointed room, the Royal Palm, the pool set in a stunning landscape romantically lit in the evening, the breakfast room, and the lovely deck with a great view. No detail in designing this property and choosing the decor has been overlooked. Steve graciously served our breakfast each morning prepared by Fergie, an experienced B&B chef and cookbook author. I now have a signed copy and will attempt to prepare some of her favorite recipes. I even photographed her presentations. The location is perfect for walking and bicycling. Bicycles, beach chairs, etc. are provided. The inn is within walking distance to restaurants, an upscale market with a deli (perfect for a picnic), and the ocean. Afternoon wine accompanied with perfect little bites of food gives you a chance to socialize and relax. We met some great people. Once you check in to the Sea Glass Inn, you don't want to check out! We look forward to our return!
