My husband and I have been to a different B&B in London and the U.S. for the past 9 years and we have NEVER been to one that offered such privacy complimented with kind and careful guest attention and appreciation. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a stay at Port D' Hiver. We stayed in the Yellow Room, and were very satisfied with it's size, appearance, cleanliness, and especially the private balcony. The greatest perk of this resort was not only the food, snacks, and beach supplies, but the gourmet breakfast delivered to our room! We ate breakfast one morning in the dining room, but then after experiencing the breakfast on the balcony, we chose that option for the rest of the trip. We never ate lunch; the breakfast is so heavy, you only need some nabs or a granola bar that they provide in the snack room. The 5:00 appetizers and wine were - oh- so- good. I just wish they had been a tad heavier so I could have skipped dinner out and spent the night walking on the beach or swimming in their salt water pool.
At Port D' Hiver, they could have a full house and you'd still feel you were the only guest there. Magnificent.

Went for our anniversary again and had the luxury of staying two nights instead of just one this time. They are above and beyond every other place you can stay. Everything is perfect. We stayed in the carriage house and it was truly stunning. We lived like royalty for two nights. Thanks!

Could only stay one night (in the Havana room) but it was just as everyone else has described. All the details from soft music playing in your room upon arrival to coffee brought to your door in the morning to bath salts to snacks, beach chairs, and coolers to take across the street to the beach – nothing has been overlooked. We received a cheerful greeting upon arrival, a quick tour around the property, and then onto our lovely room (well appointed, crazy comfortable sheets, high end toiletries). Cocktail hour in the afternoon, coffee brought to our door in the morning (complete with tablecloth for our outside table), and a sumptuous breakfast that couldn’t be beat. Wonderful staff; dinner reservations were made for us at the Chart House and because we were guests of the D’Hiver we received personalized menus, a complimentary chocolate lava cake, and a visit by both the head chef and restaurant manager. We would definitely stay at Port D’Hiver again. Our only “complaint” is that while they have installed fountains to buffer the noise, we did hear some road noise from our room, it was not intrusive though. A wonderful visit.

We were so impressed by this Bed & Breakfast. We loved the personal, caring service and all they did to make us feel special. We have never stayed anywhere else that did such a wonderful job of accommodating and assisting us with all our needs.

A must if you are in the area. Easy walking distance to fine dinning and night spots. Directly across the street from a small beach park with a beautiful quiet beach. A historic location in the oldest beach town in Brevard County, Florida.

Stayed in the Carriage House and it was great. The room was beautiful, cozy very clean and the bed was amazing. The bathroom was huge and my wife wanted to take it home with her. Next time in Melbourne we will stay here for sure.
