My husband and I went with another couple for dinner because it was not far from the Tower Theater. The food was exceptional as was the service. There was no wait and the staff was very attentive. My server let me order a half portion. My friend dropped his knife and someone came to him in a flash to exchange it for a fresh one. We had 2-3 people at our table waiting on us at all times. The place was elegant, yet casual, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

A group of friends and myself ate at this place on Friday at the suggestion of a friend. It was a quiet, small and great place. The staff were friendly and helpful, they kept our wine glasses full! The food was pleasant and excellent to look at, however, this place is pretty pricey, for our group of 10 the bill was over $400 dollars..

It has been a year since I've traveled to the South Florida area but, as usual, when I am anywhere near, I MUST eat at Juca Oliviera's, Tutto Pasta. This visit, I had lunch and dinner at Tutto and also got to have dinner with a friend at his new restaurant, Zucchero. I had no doubt that it would be exceptional and I wasn't at all disappointed! Every morsel we ate was a culinary delight, eliciting pleasurable ooohs and ahhhs with each bite!
The restaurant itself is modern and sleek, quite large, with a nice bar area and outdoor seating as well. There is also bar dining in front of the kitchen area where we chose to sit so we could chat with Juca who was busy preparing his masterpieces. The aromas were absolutely tantalizing and we could see many tempting dishes pass us by.
The menu is very extensive with a large selection of both hot and cold appetizers, salads, soups, foccacia, pizza, pastas, risottos, meats, fish, and the most fabulous desserts you will ever find! The wine list is varied and extensive.
My friend and I shared an insalata di rucula - arrugula, pears, roquefort cheese, caramelized walnuts with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil - superb. Claire's entre was a canelloni stuffed with crab meat in a pink sauce with gratinatée mozzarella cheese. I opted for linguini con gamberi cozze - linguini pasta with shrimp, mussels, and grape tomato with a touch of tomato broth . We happily shared our meals and both were fabulous.
Even though we were totally full, we could not leave without dessert. We ordered two - soffiato di guayaba - warm flourless " guayaba " cake serve with guava ice cream. I've never had anything so sinfully delicious, with that warm guava filling seeping out of the cake! Our other dessert, a pave with coconut and pineapple was also ecstacy.
I live in San Francisco, a city of outstanding restaurants. I have also visited 45 countries and 20 Caribbean islands. Zucchero is on a par with the finest restaurants anywhere I have ever been. If I lived in Miami, I'm afraid my budget would be at its limit with forays to my old favorite, Tutto Pasta, and chef/owner Joao Carlos Olivera's new star, Zucchero.
