As we drove up to the hotel, I have to admit that we were a bit apprehensive...a small, low rise building, more of a motel look, really ( I believe it is a refurbished Howard Johnson motel). However, once we got out of the car, we couldn't help but be impressed with the experience, from the helpful valet, the friendly desk clerk, and the overall ambiance of the place. The room, while of average size, was clean and modern, with free wi-fi or wired internet access, a great shower, and an extremely comfortable bed. And although the hotel is right on busy Brickell Avenue, the room was very quiet. There are good, reasonably priced breakfast options. The location is really quite good--five minutes to downtown Miami, ten minutes to Coconut Grove and Coral Gables, and just across the Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne. The only negative--$25 to park your car. Other than that, I'd recommend the place highly.

What a find! Hotel Urbano is a great place to stay in Miami. The service alone is far above and beyond it's star quality level. The staff went out of their way, in nearly all cases, to provide a comfortable stay. High regard goes to bartenders Robert and Jeffrey, server Melissa from Costa Rica and the valet doormen who opened the door with a smile every time.

The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. I stayed on the side facing Brickell Ave. and hardly heard the traffic noise at night. The pool area, with it's lounge chairs, fire pit and TV cabana's is relaxing, although the weather wasn't warm enough for me to really enjoy it.

The hotel is located just outside of the downtown area in a nice residential area. It's a 5-minute drive or about a 30-minute walk to bridge around Miami River Walk.

Valet parking at the hotel is expensive at $24, which is to be expected at a city hotel, but is completely avoidable in my opinion. The area seemed really safe (joggers running by at most times of day, even after dark), street parking is free as long as you pay attention to the signs. I parked across Brickell Ave. in the dead-end part of SE 25th Rd. with no problems.

If you're considering a trip to Miami and want to stay downtown or near it, I highly recommend Hotel Urbano.

Thank you so much for your review – we are thrilled that you enjoyed your time with us so much!

The cabanas are one of my favorite parts of the hotel – you must return when the weather gets a bit warmer to enjoy a few mojitos in the cabanas!

My wife and I took a Redeye flight out of Seattle got into Miami around 11:00am . After an exhausting flight we decided to goto the hotel and see if we could check in. The Hotel front desk CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT was able to get us into our room even after they had a full booking the night before. The Hotel Urbano went above and beyond to ensure we could get into our room. Any other large National Change Hotel would have said "Sorry check in later" I want to commend the Girl at the Front desk Virgina , she definately exceeded my Expectations ... So when you are looking for a Hotel, make this your first Choice. Thanks....Jake....Seattle, WA

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at Hotel Urbano this month. We highly recommend it! The location is at the beginning of Brickell, just north of the Biscayne/Vizcaya entrance. The neighborhood is residential, and it was perfect for us as we had a family event up the street. From the moment we pulled in, to our checkout, the service was exceptional, from management, bellmen, and housekeeping. The hotel staff is warm and inviting, professional and experienced. The hotel is a boutique, with about 60 rooms on 3 floors, a lounge and restaurant in the lobby, pool and terrace with cabanas, and tropically lit at nite to sit around their fire pit; a fitness room with some machines and weights, a business area with terminals and a printer, and free wifi in the rooms. The king size bed was fabulous, with overstuffed down blankets and a rollaway that was comfortable for our 7 year old son. All the furniture was new. They even provide large pool towels. Breakfast was table service and featured gourmet omelettes, bagels, pastries, granola, cereal, and other options. There is artwork everywhere, on every floor and hallway, very cool deco prints. The front desk was most accommodating, and genuinely interested in how things were going for us. Parking is available both on site and around the corner and down the side street. The hotel rates were very fair. We plan to return and stay with the Urbano family again next time.

Thank you so very much for your review...I apologize for the delay in my response!

The décor you are speaking of is due to our partnership with Art Fusion Galleries in Miami’s Design District – we actually have our collection curated every few months, so when you return there will be all new art work!

This was a good little hotel with a chic artsy look. Rooms were very clean, service was excellent, and the location was good.

We enjoyed a drink by the pool sitting in front of a huge fire pit, and also a very good, reasonably priced, breakfast the next morning.
