I booked for two nights in July not out of choice but because it was advertised as a hidden hotel in Miami centre on expedia. It turned out the hotel was far from town hence, why I even missed the first night. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the staff at the lobby where I was handed the keys to my room. The room was a bit dated but spacious and the toilet facility was quite good with fresh towels. Internet works only in the lobby and you can only use the telephone in the lobby as well. There isn't much to see around the hotel and the golden glades area but for the price, one can hardly complain. Would I have chosen this hotel knowingly? I doubt it.

This place was a dump! If we hadn't checked in so late at night we definitely would not have stayed. It looked dreary just driving in to the place. We had to stand in the room several minutes because we were afraid to even sit anywhere. I don't know how we slept!! Not very good that's for sure!

This hotel was a disappointment. The room was fairly nice, but do not expect any extras. The location of the hotel is in an area that has nothing to offer. There aren't any restaurants close by, the gas stations on the surrounding corners are all closed up. There is a bus stop within walking distance, but it is a long way to downtown by bus and rail. The hotel property is in need of updating. The continental breakfast was the worst I have ever seen offered. The only bread product offered was white bread. The only other choices available for breakfast were cold cereal, milk, orange juice and coffee. That is it. Not much of a choice. The breakfast is served in a large banquet type room. This room is very dark, not much natural light. The room has many windows but they are all covered. The rugs and fabric seat covers are very stained. It is almost as if the room is so dark to hide the stains. The room is not inviting for breakfast. I am sure in its day this hotel was a real beauty.

I don't have high expectations towards motels, a regular Super 8 is more than enough for me. Unfortunately, Roma is not there - it is truly outdated in the negative meaning. No fridge or microwave, breakfast was very unsatisfying (only decaf was served, no regular coffee or tea!), WiFi signal is poor. Quite a disappointment.

Booked on Priceline for around 60$ a night. The place has a very Italian exterior with many Greek type statues and fountains. Unfortunately it's a little too authentic as it appears to be crumbling from the outside just like Roman ruins. Old school big screen TV in the lobby was my second clue this place needs help. Check in was pleasant and a breeze. My first floor room was huge and obviously the original floor plan called for more than what they put in the room. Again, old school TV and not a flat panel. My biggest complaint about this place is the cleaning staff and the tiled flooring in the hallway. Every morning the staff makes no qualms about doing their business LOUDLY. You will not sleep in. Also the tiled floors cause everything that rolls to make a lot of racket.. Suitcases, mop buckets, wheel chairs, unicycles.. All of it will create room intruding noise. This place needs ownership that cares enough to fix the no brainer details and update the necessities. For the price I'd rather sleep in one of the large budget chains.

Hotel Roma is relative close to Miami downtown (like 15min), comfortable room, nice parking area and nice people in service. They can improve the breakfast because is kind of poor quality food, and poor variety. Room service also can be improve especially when maid do your room and do not leave additional toilet paper… but I guess is fair for what you spend there.

Unsafe, stay away! During check-in a guy borrowed a bottle opener and opened cheap liquor at the reception. Lot of staring faces around. At checkin the receptionist took my Credit Card and Drivers License and made copies of it without even asking me. When I asked him, he said, dont worry the info is safe!!! I could only see 15 cars in the so called resort on a busy Saturday night in Miami! The back parking lot was completely empty. The bed was uncomfortable, the AC did not work. I got a wake-up call I did not ask for. We skipped the breakfast coz it was stale and there was hardly anyone in the dining area. I couldn't wait for the morning to get out of this place.

Looks like this hotel is on life support and it would be a favor to travelers if it is shut down. I would not give this hotel even 1 star.
