I have been going to Salmon Salmon for last 10 years on and off, but last 4-5 times i have realized something fraudulent in their service and that is the reason I finally will stop going once for all.
Dont mind me the food is OK, they no longer use beef tenderloin for their "lomo saltado" but most of the places don't so who cares. But my real problem is service, abominable, two filler injected colombian sisters waitresses are just bad and should not have contact with public. Plus they are handwriting the sales bills at the end of the dinner, that no one understands, I have bachelor degree in culinary art from johnson&wales and I have to say their ability to include service charge and tip in the check by hand without telling that is there its not OK. I find it bad way of charging people and almost 90% of people actually leave tips 2 times because the scribble on the invoice is just impossible to understand so before you know they have STOLEN $20 on average table of two. I will never set the for in that old, dirty, unsanitary "restaurant".

This place is not located in a trendy, desirable area. In fact, its location is a strip mall in a part of town where most people don’t go for a good dining experience. You may miss it altogether if you drive by, and it’s unlikely you would stop even if you noticed it.

But if you want Peruvian cuisine at its best, this is it! For over two decades, Salmon & Salmon has been the pinnacle of Peruvian food in Miami. Pick any ceviche, and you will not be disappointed. Have the fish, any fish, you can’t go wrong. My favorite? Fish filet a la criolla (lightly battered fried corvina filet, topped with raw chopped onions, tomatoes, parsley, in a lime/vinegar based ceviche like marinade). Lomo salteado and other meats are very good as well. The tiramisu is home made and delicious.

The place is very small, a little dated, and you may have to wait to get a table. The service is very good.

Stay away from the sauces, they are bland. Wine selection is limited and not impressive. Please know that a 15% service charge is added to all checks of two people or more, and the charges appear on the check very inconspicuously. It shows as S/C on the check, so be careful not to tip twice.

One of the best hidden gems in the city. The prices aren't cheap, but the preparation and taste is second to none.

Although peruvian food is exquisite, this place is nothing but disappointment. No "Yuca a la Huancaina", no "tiraditos", no "causas" just regular ceviche prepared like an apprendice. Horrible place, ugly neighborhood, small, not fancy for the price and VERY expensive! There are so many good peruvian restaurants in Miami, that I totally regret have gone to that place! I'll never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

An intimate restaurant with amazing Peruvian food. The servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Made us feel more like family members than customers. An authentic culinary experience that should be on the itinerary of every visitor to Miami. Will definitely be back.
