Like Miami Heist we really didn't check out the tour thoroughly but Sabina, the tour guide, was very competent and the tour showed us what we wanted to see, but the bus lacked so much - hard seats, dripping A/C (the only proof there actually was one since it was cooler when the windows were open), apparently no shocks. The bus showed up on time although the driver seemed to be a little confused about who returned to which hotel, and we had expected to have time for shopping or at least lunch vs. the 15 minute break in Little Havana - really only had time for an ice cream cone. We enjoyed the airboat through a short canal although the engine seemed to give up right before pulling into the dock. The guide was good and pointed out birds and gators we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Overall I can now say I've seen Miami (after a cruise to the Bahamas) and think this probably lived up to its price.

Avoid like the PLAGUE! We booked tour through Viator. Bus was 30 minutes late, made unscheduled stops, drove 5 hours to Orlando strip mall where we had to stand in line at a dumpy office for 20 minutes to receive our tickets, then we were transported in an umarked, run-down minivan to the Space Center that took another hour: total time from hotel to Kennedy Space Center was 6.5 hours!! Driver made announcements only in Spanish, made no bathroom stops except for himself! Was only at the Space Center for 4 hours. Instead, rent a car and drive yourself. You will save hundreds of dollars and hours of aggravation. Tour was a TOTAL disaster of a day.

I agree with everything the author of Miami Heist had to say, and we obviously had the same driver/guide named Sabina, and same bus, on March 3. The bus was, as described, a piece of tinny junk with no springs, plastic seats, and small windows. When we stopped to pick up 2 ladies and a baby with the stroller, the driver had a real fit. It was embarrassing for the rest of us and the ladies. She said there were no babies allowed and no room for the stroller. The mother patiently showed her the confirmation that she had received for the baby and the stroller. The driver in a huff then brought the stroller on board and put it in the open back end of the bus, muttering that other people would have to sit in the cold. The tops of buildings were pointed out to us, but we could only see the mid sections. When we stopped in Little Havana, the driver pointed out the restaurant on the corner to us. Four of us got off the bus, entered the restaurant, and sat down among other customers. The driver came in and rudely told us that we belonged outside with the tour at the counter, not inside the restaurant. We ate quickly and then the bus went to Market Square, the end of the City of Miami tour. We were then informed that everyone, but the two of us were now going on a boat tour of Key Bisquane and we were to wait while the driver escorted them to the boat. So we remained seat until she informed us that she was going to be locking up the bus and we would have to get off and wait outside. I forgot to mention that Miami was experiencing a cold wave that was setting new records at 45 degrees and we were dressed in summer clothing. She assured us she would be right back---and that resulted in us sitting on a cement railing for a half an hour. When she returned, we thought we would get back on the bus to be dropped off down the road to a place she had pointed out before. But, no, she said there was no place there to park the bus and we would have to walk. Now, she was able to see throughout the trip that I was having trouble walking. I had had four spine surgeries, but obviously the problem walking did not concern her. We walked and walked and walked through a mall until I was almost reduced to tears. I finally stopped and asked how much farther and she pointed to a bus parked at the curb about a block and a half away. We finally reached that bus only to be told that was not our bus and once again we would have to wait!! And having told us that last bit of information, Sabina disappeared, and once again it was another half hour until our bus for the Everglades showed up. At least, that part of the trip was on a more comfortable bus and with a more cordial guide. However, I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone. It seems as if they are more interested in combining as many trips into one so that they can make more money and keep all the buses filled. It does not matter to them that this system results in confusing time schedules and log waits while they attempt to co-ordinate the various passengers and trips. And I have never had such overt and constant solicitations both verbally and with signage for tips for the guides. The one exception was the driver to our day trip to the Everglades on March 4. He was an excellent guide and very low key about tips. He deserved one and he received one!

I have a confession. I booked this at the last moment via Expedia without checking first on Tripadvisor. I'm sorry. I should know better. It started well enough because the bus arrived outside our hotel in Collins Avenue right on time. We were going on the morning trip to the Everglades and then on the afternoon trip exploring Miami. The driver was a cheerful, friendly, diminutive, German, female and fearless when it came to challenging the cars on the freeway during the 45 minute 70 mph dash to the Everglades. However, the big question was whether the bus was up to it. It seemed to be a converted school bus with the back half of its roof removed and substituted with an awning and flimsy perspex windows. The seats were plastic and bolted onto a wooden runner along the floor. In the UK I doubt that a type approval safety certificate would ever have been issued. We saw more alligators along side the canals than in the Everglades park but there were plenty of sharks - human that is and all wanting tips just for doing their job. Hey, it's the USA. In fairness, the short boat ride was exhilarating. The afternoon trip was a disaster. We'd been on the go since 09.30 hours and were promised lunch, somewhat cheaper than the Bayside Centre, by 14.00 hours. By 16.00 hours all we'd done was look at rich people's homes on some tasteless Miami housing developments and we were hungry but more concerned about arriving back at our hotel for 17.00 hours for our next engagement. We stopped at 16.30 outside a closed restaurant in Little Havana. It was obvious that this had been our original lunch venue. The few punters on board settled for a hole in the wall Cuban takeaway next door and fifteen minutes later we were on our way. Oddly enough, we got back to our hotel on time and for that we're grateful. Never again.

This tour appears to be disorganized - late picking us up, transferred us from one bus to another etc. The write up said we would see numerous famous places in Miami but unfortunately the guide couldn't tell us anything about the historical significance of any location. The only thing the guides seemed to know was what movie had been made in the vicinity. The write up said we would have lunch in Little Havana. We had 10 minutes there and were told we could eat lunch when we got off our boat trip at 2:30. The boat trip was much better than the land portion. I will give our guide credit - he did all of his comments in both English and Spanish.
