Stay one night on this hotel was very comfortable place to sleep. Breakfast tasted good and the selections of the food were good as well. The internet connection was superb and love to stay in this hotel again on my next trip to Miami.

As a Platinum Rewards member with Marriott, they are my brand of choice when at all possible anywhere in the world. Recognition of such loyalty tends to be rather better in the USA than in Europe and this is very much true of the Biscayne Bay Marriott. Nice touches such as saying 'we've been expecting you, thank you for your loyalty' before typing my name into the computer and sending up chocolates to the room marked this hotel out as superior to many others.

This is fairly standard Marriott fare. I stayed here shortly before attending a conference elsewhere in the city and found everything as expected. Room 2505 is well appointed with a nice view of the bay - you are however overlooked from another hotel opposite. My one little gripe would be the lack of mineral water in the room - frustrating when it is freely available one floor up in the executive lounge. This was particularly bothersome on Saturday evening when the lounge was shut and I had just arrived.

The executive lounge is very good - if nothing else for its stunning view of the bay. You can easily get lost gazing out of the window over at Port Miami. Food and beverage choice is in line with other Marriotts the world over. Downstairs, at the Catch restaurant, I only had a Marriott Burger the night I arrived and this too, is as it is wherever you order it - good.

In spite of a very strong start, the service was surprisingly hit and miss. The staff in the lounge were brilliant (particularly good idea to have two of them up there at busy periods) but downstairs was organised chaos. The nature of the hotel (lends itself to the cruises departing and arriving over the bay) means that a large number of guests arrive in one hit. You'd think the team (who were full of apology and very friendly) would be expecting this but seemingly not as the lobby was regularly sporting huge queues. Whilst this didn't impact me greatly (I checked in and out using my iPhone app), it would have wound me up fit to bust had I had to wait 20 minutes having climbed off a 9 hour flight from London. Many of the porters outside struggled with basic English and were - on a couple of occasions - a little on the rude side.

There is a free shuttle to South Beach - book ahead though as it gets filled up quickly but worth taking advantage of - there isn't a late night shuttle unfortunately. The hotel is a short walk from the free Miami Metromover, whisking you into Downtown in around 10 minutes. Bayside is a 20 minute walk away (you can also take the Metromover) and is well worth a visit in the evening if you like Latin American culture. The Mojito bar (at Bayside) has a cracking atmosphere and great (albeit expensive) cocktails. You can run over to Miami Beach (via the Venetian Causeway) from the hotel and this is lovely early in the morning if you're that way inclined.

The pool is in a great spot to catch the sun all day and the sun beds are plentiful with free towels. There is also a Pool Bar which I did not use. The pool itself is of ample size, but an odd shape meaning that any real swimming is impossible. There is a good sized hot tub too. Beware of the wind - particularly in the afternoon as this gets very strong. The gym is well equipped and has good views of the bay.

On the whole, very good and everything I expect from a Marriott. Little tweaks would go along way to improving guest experience, but I would recommend for a short stay.

Great location! Hotel was slow when we arrived but check in was good. Bellmen brought our bags in from cab but just left in lobby. Could not find them to bring to room just did it ourselves. Lost tip for them. Room was clean with a nice view. Little dated but a good deal for one night. Would stay again if needed too! Oh yea front drive was out of control and cab had to drop us off in street could not get into drive.

It was the right hotel to stay for the night before our cruise with family and grand children. The view is exciting of the Bay and Cruise ships which gets the adrenalin flowing for boarding a cruise ship.

to be honest, it was very hectic and the hotel was completely filled. We had requested two doubles and ended up with King rooms with single beds delivered toe each room. The rooms are small and it was crowded but the hotel location and view offset the inconvenience. Our rooms had also been renovated and felt almost new.

Bottom line is that we enjoyed the one night stay and would do it again.

Room Tip: Arrive early as possible, request a high floor with view of Bay including cruise ships.

One night spend here. Upon arrival the staff was a bit confused when a big group checked in at once. They started checking indivuduals in until a manager realised it was a group who was pre-checked and handed out keys. Also they delivered the luggage to the rooms, but misplaced a lady's bags and it took a couple of hours for them to loccate it again.
A wedding took place right outside our room and when we opened the sliding door we gatecrashed someone else's special day.

Room and bed was comfortable. Bathroom had bath/shower combo. Bath is relatively small and being tall wasnt the most comfortable bath I had.

Restaurant wasnt available at night as they hosted a big private function.

Breakfast was good with a variety to choose from - cereals, eggs and bacon, croissants etc. Staff was friendly and kept on topping up our coffee and tea.

This location is almost resort-like. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. Lots of eating options are nearby and service was excellent. WiFi was included in price. Room opened onto a patio with a bar with friendly staff. As American Airlines had opted not to load the First Class luggage onto our flight the afternoon we arrived, and to not send it out that same day the hotel staff provided us with amenities that the airline couldn't give us and made sure when our luggage arrived the next afternoon that we were notified. (Long story there about why you should always allow a day between your arrival in a cruise port and your cruise embarkation.) We asked for a low floor and were easily accomodated.

Room Tip: Ask for a patio. My wife and I do not like heights or balconies so we were accommodated.

Stayed here after a long flight from the UK as an overnight stop enroute to a vacation in the Keys .

The staff were marvellous , really accommodating and professional ..check in was easy and we were allocated a high floor room near the elevator as requested .
The room was large, had a bath is my wife and daughter could wind down , everything was clean , good tv, nice view ..what's not to like ! I would stay here again anytime ..the rate was excellent and as usual Marriott quality shined through making the beginning of our vacation perfect .
We had a quick bite in an Italian restaurant next door which was fine and there were plenty of little coffee places around including a nice Illy branded cafe right in the lobby next morning ..can't fault it for a short stay in Miami .
