I booked a three night stay for New Years and was more than happy with my experience at Villa Paradiso. I was looking for a safe, clean and overall beautiful stay right in the heart of the SOBE nightlife and I got just that. My best friend and I checked into room #5 and Anna at the front desk was sweet and informative. She was the warmest welcome we could ask for. We wanted a hands-off kind of experience where we could come and go as we pleased and the hotel was walking distance to every single thing we could be interested in. The room was basically a well laid studio apartment, with the right amount of privacy for traveling friends of the opposite sex to get ready and move around in. The room was more spacious than any hotel room I have paid top dollar for all over the country. I had some of the best night's sleep in the firm and comfortable queen bed, and my best friend felt the same. Although we weren't far from the action, Villa Paradiso was the perfect quiet sanctuary to come home to every night. Just a few blocks from the best locales on Ocean Drive, I was able to come in after a night of NYE partying, change my shoes and head back out without missing a beat. The kitchen featured every necessity for young, on the go types like us who tended to whip up left overs from a meal on Lincoln Road at 3am. The beautiful courtyard was a serene break from the bustling street just outside the secure gate, we even had a meal out there. We arrived on Dec 31, so parking on South Beach in general was a nightmare! But we opted for a public garage just two blocks walking distance and never had a single issue. The stay was affordable and because of the hotels simplicity, we didn't feel like we wasted any amenities by not always being in the room.

We really enjoyed Villa Paradiso, a small property within walking distance to the Convention center and Lincoln Road. Prices were high for what you get, but very reasonable for South Beach. The staff was welcoming, but most everything was self service. The best feature for me was the small courtyard filled with tropical plantings, great for morning coffee and evening happy hour. I felt as if I were staying in someone's house, with two rooms plus bath. The layout was a bit odd, with entry through the large bedroom, but it had a small kitchen with a table, large closet (safe included), good sized bathroom. The property was an older one, with hard wood floors, a fresh coating of paint, clean and bright, but well caulked. The white couch was probably not a good choice, a bit grubby. We found the bed soft, but very comfortable, with nice linens. Our room was in the back, so sheltered from the street noise. The air conditioner was noisy, but efficient. Small improvements that would have enhanced our stay would be luggage racks and hooks for hanging suits and towels. Keep in mind that this was not the Sheraton, more like visiting a relative or renting a cottage. If you can be comfortable with that you will be happy here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from Collins Avenue.

Just got back from a 4 day stay in Miami Beach. We had a nice studio apartment style room #12 - Simple, clean and comfortable. Spacious layout made it feel so much more relaxing than any hotel room room at that price. The queen size bed had a firm mattress and front desk staff provided us w/ extra blankets...
The location is superb - beach, plenty of nice restaurants, several theatres and New World Symphony are a walking distance away. Friendly and helpful staff, - saved my day when I couldn't unlock the safe after punching a wrong number...
The only drawback for us was parking ... ended up not moving the car for a few days after a long "hunt" circling the neighborhood and nearby garage ....
Would like to return and would recommend to other couples.

Room Tip: Further down the courtyard - away from Collins Ave party traffic... Also 2nd floor room gives you mo...

This hotel was right in the middle of everything on South Beach. The rooms were spacious, modern, clean and had a lot of deco character. We had a pleasant stay. The beach is 2 minutes away and the hotel supplies beach towels. We felt that the staff could have been more helpful and friendly, it seemed like a big inconvenience whenever we asked for anything. But I suppose it's a small family run place.

Eat at the nearby Davids cafe. They have great, authentic Cuban food including great cafe au leche.

Compared to what you can get at this price level in South Miami Beach this was really good value, although at 200 USD per night it was not exactly cheap! The room I stayed in has probably been newly renovated as everything was very nice and clean (maybe the whole hotel?). My room (#14), on the first floor with a small patio, was more like a suite with two double beds, a small sofa and a small table, a small dining table with 4 chairs in a separate part and a kitchen with utensils and fridge. Very neat and stylishly decorated, but do not expect luxury more like a very nice guesthouse. There are some tables with chairs outside the rooms in the alley which are nice to use for reading etc. No restaurant (but there are of course hundreds within walking distance), no parking (but there is a parking house just 100 meters away for USD 20 per day), but free wireless. All in all highly recommended, especially if you are more people sharing the room.

We stayed at this appartement hotel for 8 days.
The appartement was big and clean. Great kitchen, with evrything you need for making simple dishes. Also a comfy sofa and tv for relaxing!
2 min walk to the beach, and 5 min to the biggest shopping street.
Would highly recommend!!

Tiny hotel with a jungle like patio near 14th and Collins in the heart of South Beach. Easy walk to everywhere you want to be. Bedroom, bathroom and kitchen is like a small apartment from the 60s (probably was at one time). Furniture is new and comfortable but building is ancient. Good wi-fi and flat screen TV. Long narrow courtyard with tables and chairs provide a good place to relax with a bottle of wine outside.

Room Tip: South Beach is an expensive area and this place is cheap at $200 or so a night but don't expect...
