I spent quite a bit of time at the Lowes last week, I ate lunch and dinner more than once at Preston's. The staff was extremely nice, particularly Alex who waited on my table two times. The food was average, I had a house salad which was average, not too good, not too bad, a turkey sandwich which was generous in size, a seafood pizza, which could have used a bit more flavor, a chicken Caesar salad that was a bit too garlicky for my taste. In short the food was average, but the service was excellent. I would go back simply because of the quality of the service, other than that is a typical hotel restaurant priced accordingly.

Since we checked in at 8 pm, it was easiest for us to just eat at Preston's...we were delighted with our meal and experience. Dining al fresco was lovely, mojitos were refreshing, appetizers and entrees were enjoyed very much by my husband, teen daughter and me - our daughter raved in particular about her short rib ravioli. We were all too full for dessert, but our waiter insisted that he had to get us a little taste of the bread pudding because it was THAT good. Well, he brought us a full serving (on the house) and waited while we tasted it...oh my, was it heavenly! Of course, we wound up finishing it all...what a great meal!

The breakfast buffet was good, nothing spectacular, but we enjoyed it on two of our three mornings. The included juice bar was awesome, with a posted menu and the option to ask for your own creation should you desire to do so. The juice "chef" was a lovely man, and the South Beach blend in particular was refreshing and delicious. Yes, $30 plus tax and automatic 20% gratuity is pricey for a fairly standard breakfast buffet, but at this level of accommodation it's to be expected...I don't get people's complaints about the price of breakfast at the Loews - this isn't Howard Johnson's, after all.

All in all, we were very pleased with our meals at Preston's. Highly recommended.

Food was good; $42 for one person's breakfast buffet is disgusting. That's $30 menu price, plus tax, plus AUTOMATIC 20% gratuity (for what? waiter did zero). If you want a tiny O.J., add another few bucks.

Too "jet lagged" on arrival, we ate in the hotel and was very surprised at the quality of the food. One can't eat there too often as the menu isn't vast which is good as it means it's all fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The excellent service was an added bonus.

slow for lunch -very slow ...and when something came crashing down on a nearby table during lunch ...and when something , management never approached the guest to extend an apology, ask if they were ok...not very hospitable
