“Great location, good value for the price”

This hotel is in an amazing location - 2 blocks from the beach (walking distance). And it's on Espanola Way, which is an awesome street with outdoor dining and a great vibe. The rooms are basic, but clean. For the price it works great for a short stay in South Beach.

Ok it's not on the beach but look at the price. It is next to a street that comes alive at night and next to a great Cuban restaurant. There is free wi fi throughout the hotel. My biggest beef is the early check out time but with jet lag from Europe I was up anyway. The valet parking can get busy so allow 20 mins yo get your car

4 of us stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Hotel has nice decor and it's right above the restaurant. We booked rooms without bathroom to save some pennies and we were expecting a common bathroom shared with other guests. We were pleasantly suprised when given adjustment rooms with one bathroom to share which was perfect. Hotel doesn't have any lift so prepare to have someone stronger to carry the luggage!
Plus side;
Hotel is located 2 min walk away from the beach, opposite supermarket and on one of the most famous streets in Miami. Place is surrounded by best nightlife, bars, restaurants and boutiques (10 min walk to famous Dash shop of kardashians). Oceans Drive is 5 min away and most popular club Mansion is on the same street also few minutes walking distance. All together- locating is the best you could ask for!
Negative site;
Rats. There are non in the hotel however we saw a dead one outside. There is an A/C and the fan in the room. We were using A/C until at some point it started to smell of urine (and it wasn't human one). I complained to reception and they put some detergent there however it was still smelly so we were using the fan (If they would of offered us some free drinks at the bar or free car park for the day I wouldn't write this so something to think about Clay Hotel?). Also because it was raining heavilly around 3 a.m. fire alarm went off like 5 times and it was really loud!
If you are looking for a holiday when you want to sit at the hotel stay away from this place however if like me you are looking for something pleasant (it was when we were using the fan!) and with amazing location this is the place to be. I'm personally not very fussy and use hotel only to sleep and shower. Taking the location into consideration and lowest price on Miami Beach which is very expensive I would definitelly return again but use only the fan and hoping it won't rain during the night!

Room Tip: If you are a group of friends save money by sharing a bathroom between 2 rooms!

If you are solely going there to party this is a great location and comfort in the rooms is good for people that just need a place to crash. Although the scenery is beautiful and the common area is very authentic overall my time there was great outside of the mediocre room

For the price in Miami, this was a pretty nice hotel, in an excellent location. It is situated in a popular area of Miami with lots of restaurants and bars in the area so it can be a bit noisy at night, but this didn't bother me at all. The décor in the main part of the hotel is nice. The rooms are basic, but have all necessities: beds, towels, fridge, TV, safety box, phone, fan and air con. I have no idea why people would need any more in the room as you're in Miami and should hardly be in your room with so much to see outside. The bed wasn't the most comfortable bed I've slept in but again this didn't really bother me as I can sleep anywhere. A welcome drink was offered for a bar next door, but we didn't take up the offer as the bar didn't look like the kind of place we'd enjoy, but it was a kind gesture. There is nowhere to park a car at the hotel as with most hotels in the centre of Miami, but there is a very efficient Valet service, so budget this into your stay. Unfortunately there are no lifts/elevators to the first floor, which I can appreciate for some this would be a problem, but for most I don't see a problem with taking the one flight of stairs (some people are just lazy). Over all I really liked the hotel, I thought it was very pretty and the staff were friendly and helpful. Given the prices of some of the other hotels in Miami, I think this was a reasonable place for the price - you get what you pay for.

Recently ruturned from a lovely 3 night stay in this hotel. When we checked in the reception staff were great, friendly and efficient and gave us a map and some drinks vouchers for the bar a few doors away. We checked in and were directed to our room a short walk away. It was up a flight of stairs, but this wasn't a surprise or a problem reading the previous reviews. The hallway was under renovation but was kept clear and tidy from dust and mess. When we entered the room we were pleasantly surprised. The air con had been left on, which was a blessing in the 35c heat. We booked a double room and were surprised to have 2 double beds. Mine was the most comfortable bed i think ive ever slept in. The bathroom was also fantastic, the power shower was great and bathroom was spotless and well stocked with shampoo, conitioner and soap etc. Some of the other reviews have said it was tired and dated so i guess we must have been lucky to get a recently renovated room.
Yes the rooms are slightly noisy on a night - but it wasnt a problem to us and Yes you have to carry your own bags up the stairs. But all in all this is a fantastic hotel. I would have no problem at all recomending this hotel to a friend and i personly can't wait to return.
Also have to mention the fantastic location, just 2 blocks from the beach and on the fantastic Espanola way. It really is a beautiful street, all lit up at night time.
I would also recommend trying the 'Watchdog bar' just up from main enterance the service there is brilliant and its really reasonably priced for snacks and drinks with a great take out menu also.

Room Tip: If you want a quieter room request a room at the back. I dont think they have much of a view but sho...

We turned up late after a long journey to be welcomed by the staff. We were then pointed in the direction of our room two blocks away which we could not find! We then went back to reception to ask for further directions which they were not so polite about this time.

We eventually got to the room down a corridor which smelt awful, apparently due to renovation. The room itself was basic but as had expected for the money. However, the bathroom was disgusting, smelt awful and had mould everywhere.

Finally, we settle down to sleep but the music keeps us from downstairs keeps up awake for hours it was awful! We thought about swapping hotels but as we were on a budget and had already paid we decided not to.

Great location but the hotel itself was dreadful!
