We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It is very well situated. On Espanola Way, it is within walking distance of the beach, Ocean Drive and Lincoln avenue. It is also near any type of restaurant or 7-eleven. We requested a quiet room and this is exactly whan we had. The rooms are roomy, modern, clean and have a lots of windows. Also included is a microwave, safety box and refrigerator. Also, after leaving for a 5 day cruise, we came back to the hotel for a few hours while we waited for our flights. The hotel put away our luggage and allowed us to use a bathroom/shower all for free. This is was very much appreciated. The only negative point was the included breakfast: It consists of bagel, toast, muffins, cereal and muffins. To drink, milk, orange juice and lukewarm coffee. If you go on Ocean Drive, you can get a huge breakfast for $8 which is what we recommend.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, you have to ask for it. Since it is right on Espanola Way, rooms give right unto street. Therefore, rooms could be noisy at night because there are walking people and people dining right under the windows. But they have rooms on Espanola Way but farther from the crowd.

We stayed only for one night but we were shocked by its cleanliness. We weren't sure what to expect as we paid $85 to stay one night which was the cheapest rate for a Saturday night in South Miami Beach. When we arrived for check in, the staff didn't explain too much other than providing our room keys and letting us know the check out time is 11am. The front desk then introduced us to our guide who walked us to our room. He spoke little english but managed to mention that the hotel stay included a free breakfast. However, he couldn't remember the times available for breakfast <we later found out it was 7-10am>. The hotel consists of multiple buildings. We were literally 2 street blocks down from the front of Espanola and Washington Ave. Room was simple, 1 bed, a microwave, a refrigerator and a bathroom. It was quiet, primarily because we were the last building on the street. Safe & secure. You needed a hotel key card to enter hotel gate off street, as well as gate to hotel room floor.

We stayed at this hotel back in May of this year. we arrived late on our arrival day, probably around 8 pm. When we checked in there was no one to help up with our bags. We were just coming from a 7 day south Caribbean cruise so our luggage was pretty heavy. We were in the second building and there was no elevator so it was quite a task lugging our things up to the 3rd floor. :-(
The room was basic. 2 beds, a tv and dresser and a bathroom, but it was all we needed. We did not plan to spend much time in the room any way. It was clean room and beds were comfy. The rate was reasonable compared to other places i looked at.
The hotel was within walking distance of Ocean Dr. We only stayed the weekend. Just about any type of food that you may like is within close proximity to the hotel, burger joints, cuban, seafood, steakhouses, sushi, mexican...its all close by.
On the day we checked out someone was able to help bring our bags down. We had a late flight so we left our luggage with the hotel while we had breakfast and did some other things. Overall, it was not a bad stay and i would come again.

The best thing about Clay is it location . Located in the Espanol way the street is fun place with a lot of restaurants and bar and all walking distance to the south beach and the ocean street . The stay was comfortable nothing fancy but good . Clean sheet no bug etc . They also provide valet parking which helped us save 30-40 mins trying to find a parking spot in South beach ,

This place didn't have a high trip advisor % when I booked it, but Miami Beach is insanely expensive and so, for the price, this was my best bet, I thought. Neat location on Hispanola. Lots of restaurants in the area. The reception is very friendly and helpful. Our room was just down the street and although they need to renovate the hallway (kind of dated and dirty) the room itself was quite nice, clean and modern. Considering Miami Beach's ludicrous prices this is a reasonably priced place to stay in a good location.
