This area is getting a makeover and the public is going to benefit seriously. This is the area along the channel where the ships set sail from. They have big ambitions to put in seats, a pedestrian walkway, etc etc etc. in a state of construction now, however u can easily access the hotel room

This is a gorgeous park, pet friendly too. It was easy to find and had a lot of parking available. I got several beautiful shots here. Loved this park!!

Wen you go to Miami you need to visit this wonderful park especially with kids or dogs. There are plenty of spots with grass for picnics and a playground with wonderfully soft tarmac to fall on. For the dogs there is an off leash dog park (with no fence and no warning). Be careful some entitled types throw very bouncy, hard balls. (I was hit by one) At sunset there are great sunsets (not over the ocean but over Miami harbor) and you can go the restaurants here for drinks and dinner. Not for cheap eats or drinks though. A short walk and you can go up on what appear to be man-made hills. Walk a little further and you reach a nice beach with plenty of room. Weddings take place here (I saw one) and the light of the sunset adds a rosy glow to the area. Need a beer and a little sports Ted's Hideaway is not far away. Pleasantly low key All in all Soth Pointe Park is worth a visit.

We rented bikes for the afternoon and found our way down here. There were many beautiful spots to stop and take pictures. Highly recommend coming to see the water, boats, people and scenes!

We used to walk to South Pointe almost every night when we lived there. so clean, beautiful - room for kids and dogs. A very well planned park.
IF you don't mind walking, park at 5th and Lenox (Publix) and walk along the marina on the west side.
