The hotel was full so I had to stay in this one.(several hotels in the same building, castle beach). the problems are common to all the hotels in the property. slow elevators, roaches, third world country service. Lots of very noisy drunk or in drug girls every night in the hallway, probably prostitutes, no phone to call security. Came down to see and they were partying with security at the front desk. went back to my room, no point in complaining. was like 4 am.
night before, they overbooked and people found guests still in their rooms.
mixed feelings, ocean front, cheap, generally good people, nice lobby, but run down and poor service. Food market are thieves, very high prices and they tax the food, closed at night, no restaurant, . the only bright spot is the pool bar.
Lots of fake reviews, it has become an industry. you will see them mixed with the terrible reviews. The city of Miami Beach once closed the place as it declared it inhabitable for two years. The city let the reopen and there is progress but, many of the owners are slum lords. Some are proud of their property and have very beautiful units.
I came many times here, there are apartments, townhouses and small hotel rooms.More
