The location of the hotel is great but its all down hill from there. The 20 buck per day resort fee is absurd! The tiles from the elevator up is dirty and cracked. The hotel hallways look as if your in a seedy motel down a back alley. It was dark and dingy and the carpet was dirty and ratty. The paint job seems as it was supposed to freshen up the look but it was done poorly. The mattresses in the room had to be 20 years old due to the lumps and the dips, it slept horribly. The bathroom sink was clogged, the vents and the shower curtain rod was rusted out. There had to be at least a two inch gap under the room door. The hot tub was not filled completely and it was dirty and cracked. The view out the room of the hotel showed a crumbling, badly maintained building. This hotel needs to be closed for a year and renovated from top to bottom because its not cheap to stay there but you kinda feel robbed!

This is an average hotel with an above average location. Being right on the beach is great, with access just a minute from the lobby. The pool is fine, as is the hot pool provided. Also, the rooms are of a decent size, although make sure to get a room that doesn't face the city: the sea view rooms are much more pleasant. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we discovered a lack of parking. Our options were either pay $60 for two nights parking in their garage, or take a chance on the street. After going through the stress of the latter, we were then told there was a $20 fee per day for access to the pool/internet services. Considering the wireless internet didn't even work in the room, it was difficult to justify the pricing. But the biggest problem with this hotel was the service. After our en suite toilet flooded, we told the front desk of the problem at 1pm. However, upon our return at 9pm, we found that the toilet had been fixed, but the towels used to mop up had been left to fester on the floor. Whilst an obvious health and safety issue, the lack of response over the eight hours that the hotel had to fix the problem was scary. The supervisor did agree to a free late check out as compensation, but, in general, this hotel was slightly disappointing. It felt like good value before considering the hidden charges. Not one to recommend unfortunately, because the location is excellent if your considering a break near Miami Beach.

Room Tip: Make sure to choose a room facing away from the city

It does not have to be upscale to be clean , simple removing dust and mold from the vent might do the trick
Carpets stained and ripped,
Cleaning service never comes unless u call them??
Some thing are upgraded, but most of it just plain discussing

After reading the reviews on here, I was really concerned when my husband told me he had booked this for our Miami visit. However, after our 5 night stay I was pleasantly surprised. This is not the Hilton, which is why it isn't as expensive! However, it is in a quiet location away from all the noise whilst having direct beach access and lovely ocean views if you ask for a balcony room.

Pros: good location, direct beach access, nice pool, polite and helpful reception staff, beds clean and changed daily (as expected), nice original features in keeping with surroundings, ocean views, launderette

Cons: internet access is free but only works in the foyer not in rooms, domestic staff not very friendly and often forgot to leave coffee/cups etc

To summarise, really nothing like the scary reviews and had a lovely time here whilst exploring Miami. And before you suspect me of being an employee, feel free to check me on FB, I live in the UK and have no link whatsoever to hotel staff/owners

Hotelroom was ok. Bed was really good. View was also nice (11th floor). Sadly there was no balcony. Our room has refrigerator but no safety box. Internet working only at the lobby. Not good. So you have to pay everyday 20 dollar extra for internet and poolside. Poolside and hotel exterior look like it need a repairs. Yes it was great hotel… somewhere at 60´s when the Beatles was there. Take your own soap. If you need extra bed… you get only bad mattress on the floor…come on…. Poor… One coke, please. No soft drinks at pool bar???? What? I don't wanna drink everyday. Ok, One coffee, please. Don't have….. Food was ok.

Halpissaippuat kuuluu hintaan. Jos tarviit extrasänkyä saat loppuun ajetun patjan lattialle…surkeeta. Limonadia ei saanut uima-altaalla?? Hä. Eikä kahvia.. Alkoholia ja drinkkejä kyllä.
