“Love this hotel”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

I stayed in this hotel few weeks ago , words cannot describe how I felt during my visit , we had a ocean front room that was a complementary upgrade on the 6 floor were you could see the whole pool and the ocean on the back amazing room , clean, perfect interior decoration , The service in this hotel is like no other , Analili at the front desk connected with us to a refine , casual , level , it was my wife birthday and I wanted to do something different for her , Analili arrange it all in less than 5 minutes during the check in , she booked a reservation on the restaurant Bistro outside were you could see the stars , sent a bottle of Champagne with strawberries to our room for when we came back from dinner and set an appointment for s couples massage at the spa, she also was the one who gave us the complementary upgrade, For service like this one is why I am a Ritz Carlton guest and I will keep coming back to this hotel , the staff here compensate with the part that not all the hotels rooms are ocean front , ( Tip for you , they also have rooms that looks at the pool with balcony that are not so expensive like the ocean front ) Analili is the example of how this hotel staff create wonderful memories and ritz guest. Also Marco from concierge know everything in the are and can recommend good restaurants with in walking distance I mean this hotel with the service the location and the staff is one of the best ritz carlton I have ever seeing .

I loved this hotel so much. Very classy and family oriented. The staff was so attentive to everything. Pool was great and the foods great too. Direct beach access too. The service on the beach was a bit slow. They should have two servers instead one tending to everyone. The fitness center was one of the better hotel guns I've gone too. Bike, elliptical and treadmill along with free weights a smith machine and a few others.

We stayed in room 386 - King size bed, balcony, pool view and partial ocean view. Nice, clean, everything was functional. The water pressure was good, shower, amenities in the room are good quality. The sheets were at least 600 thread count, soft and the decor was not over the top in a good way. The lady who cleaned our room was friendly and very professional. The best is the staff - The bellman - Lamberto Iturria was by far the most impressive associate that this hotel has ever hired. He took it upon himself to ensure that every little aspect of our staff was to our liking. We have travelled the world, and perhaps this is not a luxurious hotel but it makes you feel like royalty. At the pool, there is William, he made our stay by the pool, truly exceptional. He cater to us, he though of everything! Drinks, meals, towels, confort, pictures, etc... He made our stay by the pool unforgetable.I like the security, by that I mean that you feel very safe at this hotel. It's perfect location, we didn't need to rent a car. We walked to have breakfast at the location the concierge recommended and it was excellent (Front Porch Cafe). Good prices, lots of choices and very good food. For dinner, we went to a place called Mangos (the concierge gave us passes so we didn't have to pay for the cover). It was ok there, too crowded and the show with the ladies was not impressive. The men had a good show but the ladies need help with their wardrobe. Good singers though. One night we walked to eat at a Mediterraniean restaurant on Lincoln Road called Aura. The service was very good but the food is not. No taste and pricey. We were dissapointed. If you like Sushi like my husband, we went to a restaurant in Bal Harbour (there is a free shuttle from the hotel) it is called Makoto. It was excellent and it has more to the menu than sushi. I don't like sushi so I got a grilled chicken, sparragus and vegetable rice. Awesome stay.

Room Tip: We liked our room on the 3rd floor 386. Although it has a balcony and the pool is right in front of...

We had seven nights here after a trip to Washington DC.

To put this review in perspective, we have stayed at two other ritz properties in the past twelve months- Laguna Niguel and Orlando Grande Lakes.

This was our third time in miami and we had previously enjoyed Sunday brunch at the ritz and so had high expectiations. The Sunday brunch does not disappoint. The food is great, champagne free flowing and a really enjoyable experience.

We also had one night in the hotel for an evening dinner which was also lovely.

The service and attentiveness of the hotel and its staff cannot be faulted.

However, the only downside is that this hotel is dated. We checked in to a room on the 11th floor. We spent one night in there and got only two hours sleep due to being in a room over all the air con fans on the roof below. We complained on the phone line three times before 9am and eventually went down to reception when they eventually moved us to a lovely ocean view. However, you get nothing for nothing in this life....the bathroom had an old bath with a old style shower over and shower curtain.. I wouldn't normal complain, but if I had paid the going rate for this room (£500 plus) I would have been very disappointed.

Also, during our seven night stay, the house keeping was sketchy and none of the plug sockets worked for hair appliances.

Again, this is a great hotel and the staff cannot be faulted. The greeting going in and out the hotel makes you feel right at home.
We had a great holiday and if I had never stayed at another ritz I would have been very impressed.

However, compared to the other two ritz properties we have stayed at in the past year, this one definitely needs an upgrade.

Feel free to ask any questions.

The service is outstanding, the location is hard to better and the comfort of the rooms is very good. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Expensive yes but that goes with the territory. Would return in a blink!

Very convenient location, shops and restaurants are seconds away. The lobby is very impressive and you can get complimentary coffee and flavoured water here (coffee only morning). The rooms are fine, decent size. We had 2 partial ocean view rooms but our views were full on ocean view. Plenty of water and coffee making facilities. The pool was a decent size with plenty of loungers and good pool service. Again you can get flavoured water all day. They also serve you a few treats through the day like crisps, smoothies, chocolates and petit fours and jugs if iced water - so a nice touch. We ate lunch a couple of times T the hotel which was really nice Nd. Good view of the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and professional. You can access the beach through a door And need your key to get back in (great for security but means you can't just nip into the sea and back but have to take a bag to have your key in)
Negatives - iPod dock didn't work despite us reporting it- it still wasn't fixed
Housekeeping can be very late in the day as in late afternoon when you might be coming back to change
Price is pretty crazy - we had researched so knew it would be but it really is mad - breakfast is 29 dollars so we obviously didn't eat it there ) go to the Front Porch cafe - delicious and 14 dollars. Cocktails are 15 dollars and a burger is from memory 23 dollars, just to give you a flavour.
But to be honest even with the crazy prices it was a great stay in a really lovely hotel,

Room Tip: We were on floor 8 partial ocean view rooms -brilliant ocean view

My cousin and I arrived at the Ritz Carlton at the end of May 2013, after a long journey in torrential rain from Key West with two small children. When we pulled up at the hotel feeling worn out and tired the car attendants could not have been more helpful. They were fantastic with the our two little boys. The luggage jockey quickly helped us to load our luggage up from the car, and we checked in fairly quickly with the friendly reception team.

Our room was clean and spacious and value for what we paid for. The view of the beach was simply awesome to wake up to. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable with good qaulity pillows too.

We all had a fun time playing in the pool, which had a very child friendly but cool relaxed vibe.

The hotel lobby could probably do with a bit of a revamp. But overall we were very happy with our time spent at this hotel, and I would most certianly book to go back again with my single friends or family and hope to next year.

The hotel is centrally located for shopping, restaurants and bars. Everything you could want is within walking distance.

Room Tip: If you can afford it book a room with either a pool view with a balcony or simply a sea view. Well w...
