“GREAT AND FRESH BREAD”
Reviewed 28 April 2012

Come and eat fresh breads, Venezuelan Cachitos (kind of ham croissants) Arepas (Colombian and Venezuelan corn bread), and a good choice of natural juices.

“Great Croissants”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

On the way to the airport, my girlfriend, her sister and I were starving. They went in to Moises, a well-reputed Venezuelan bakery in North Miami Beach and came out with sweet croissants. They made the drive to FLL so much quicker and more pleasant, indeed!

“Rude on Collins”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

We went twice to this bakery for lunch on this trip after having been there on several occasions on past trips.

The empanadas and other salty treats in this Venezuelan standby are excellent and reasonably priced, the sweets are all uninspiring.

What is standard at Moise's is the rude staff, mostly women with an attitude. Too bad they brought their Caracas arrogance with them when they set up shop in this mostly Hispanic, and definitely mellow, stretch of Collins Avenue.

“Fantastic Bakery”
Reviewed 19 August 2011

I had a day to kill due to a layover after a month in Brazil on the island of Boipeba and was just walking around North Beach and saw a lot of traffic coming in and out of this bakery. Stepped inside and a vast selection of all kinds of baked goods and they seemed to encompass a cross section of many different cultures. Started out with cafe con leche and it was better than anything I had in Brasil. Tried some rolls, creme brulee, a strawberry tart and they were all super. Fresh juice too and Moises has to be a real gem with prices more than fair.

Passed on the media lunas as had enough when in Argentina to last me a lifetime, and not my favorite. Picked up a baguette to go to munch on and liked the whole scene so much, I stopped again before I left to enjoy another round of various baked goods of so many different countries.

Waitstaff had a smile all the time and were most helpful in making some choices of things I was not familiar with. Who needs Starbucks when you have coffee and baked goods that are a fraction of the price, and better to boot!!!

Tables outside to watch the world go by and just a delightful place to spend some time enjoying a cafe con leche and wonderful pastries. For sure a must stop on my next trip to Miami.
