Jazz on South Beach Hostel

This hostel is pretty fine, you get for what you paid. They clean once a day, so you may find a dirty bathroom at the end of the day. There is a sink and dressing table outside the toilet, so you don't get to wait someone brushing teeth... Unfortunately, there's no way you can do anything in the room at night since they have no individual lights or curtains.
Also, it's cheap there but you have to pay for desktop internet access, lunch, dinner, etc. And it comes out to be a lot more if you use those services.(2 dollars for 20 minutes access).
I would like to go there again if I'm on a tight budget.

Room Tip: Pick the 6 or 8 people rooms maximum, they are fine. More than that will be hard because there's...

The place is organized and has some good rules which really helps the peace between every one here.

The staff is also really good. Any doubt you may have they will help you.

I suggest and recommend this place. Regarding price, it's about 22 USD per day in a room with 11 others.

The worst treatment received ever.
Arrived in the hostel at 10 am after long journey. Check in time was at 3 pm, so we asked if it was possible to check in a bit earlier. The staff was really rude and simply replied to wait till 3 pm, although beds were available and free in the dorm. We asked at 2 to check in, but now way. Finally at 3 pm we stood up to check in and the people in front desk replied they re busy now with other things, so we had to wait until 4pm!
The room was freezing cold as air-con was set to 17 celcius ( to prevent bacteria), but my bed was just under the aircon ( of course I was not allowed to change any settings).
My mattress was old, covered with bloody stains and strings coming out.
En-suite dorm bathroom was dirty.
Strange characters in the hostel staying for long time and hanging out all night in the lobby
( I m not sure if they were guests or friends of staff)

Positive: great location 5 min walking to the beach, tasty affordable dinner in the evening for 5 $. Many travelers

I Have had a really bad treatment from a staff at Jazz on, her name is Marlene. She is rude and broke my bag while she was talking to me, crazy!!! She began to scream and kicked me out from the hostel and in the end called the police. UNBELIEVABLE SITUATION!!! In addiction, the hostel are disgusting, too dirty, uncomfortable bed, the breakfast take just one hour and really bad. Besides of all situation, the manager of the hostel didn´t apologize in such unpleasant treatment from his staff.

Although located in a great location for shopping and food at the far south of Collins this hostel is like a puppy mill. It struck me that it was all about the money. Wifi is not available in the rooms and only in the lobby which is small for the size of this hostel. Breakfast is at 9 so if you want an early start you have to find another option. This is a very large hostel and lacks personality and has nothing special to offer other than location. The room was a good size, the AC cold and the bathroom nice. The beds were the cheapest available in china and there was no tables or hooks for your bag. I think I would seek other options if I returned.

This hostel is priced very nicely and is located only a few minutes from the beach at the bottom of South Beach, The shared room was clean, though crowded, and the pancake breakfast was very good. Some of the front desk staff could be more helpful and less disinterested though. Even though I made two separate reservations for two nights accidentally, I was not able to join them and pay together, though the room type was the exact same. To make matters worse, I had to re-check-in the next day instead, which didn't make any sense at all.

We didn't pay much to stay here for five nights. We drove from Orlando and once we had arrived after a long car journey, seven of us had to dump all our luggage on the street outside while we found a place to park the car. The hostel does not having parking and the staff weren't particularly helpful at helping us find a car park. If you are driving, expect to pay a flat rate of at least $30 for 24 hours. The checking-in was a bit disorganised but we had been all put in the same room. However, we were on the first floor to which there is no lift, just be warned that you have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. The bunk beds are a little dodgy, they looked like they might collapse but they weren't terrible and everyone received a pillow, sheet and towel. The room and the shared bathroom was clean, if a little cramped. The kitchen was nice, you could label your food and leave it in the fridge, there is an oven, microwave and enough utensils to get by on, everyone has to leave the kitchen as they found it. There is free WIFI in the lobby and you get coffee pancakes for breakfast included every morning - don't expect them to be the best you've ever tasted but it's a free meal. The staff are okay, not particularly helpful but they make sure residents keep to the rules when it comes to keeping quiet after curfew etc. The lobby is very sociable, lots of chance to meet new people and have some drinks before going out in Miami. However by far the best thing about this hostel is the location, for the money, its the best you can buy. It's just around the corner from the shopping district, the beach and Ocean Drive. I would recommend it just for that.

Room Tip: The 8 person mixed dorms do not have the best beds and are a little cramped. I saw a 6 bed single-se...
