Stayed here with girlfriends from 10/5/11-10/9/11. Were able to get upgraded to a suite. Probably being a gold hilton honors member helped. All the same, they wasted no time. All the rooms are absolutely beautiful and well appointed. Staff at restaurant was fantastic as well. Tapas at the new Douglass Rodriguez restaurant was excellent. Overall, can't go wrong at this property.

Other than the location (which is 2 minutes to the beach) and decent, but old, rooms, we couldn't have been more disappointed.

The hotel's food is atrocious. Think airplane food (coach). Breakfast buffet consists of running sheet pan eggs and paper-think bacon, combined with coffee so weak and sour it made our stomachs turn.

The only thing worse than the hotel's food is the service. The front desk staff were arrogant, dismissive, and didn't give a crap about anything. When we had issues with the dirtiness of our room (floor was disgusting), our bad meals, or the fact that they randomly forced us to move rooms, no one cared. When we talked to management, he smugly smiled and said "that's too bad."

Oh, and the WiFi sucks.

If you want an expensive, crappy hotel with terrible service and laughable food that happens to be in a great location, this hotel is for you.

Thank you very much for sharing. Please accept our sincerest apologies. Though certainly the exception for our hotel, the subpar service received is unacceptable at any time. We appreciate the feedback, allowing us to improve. I have shared with the team.

Sincere regards, John Laclé

Just returned from a week stay having got a great online price ( which included beach facilities) for a large one bedroom suite with full kitchen (large fridge) and open south view with small balcony. We chose this hotel as it was one of only a few which offer a suite, 2 TVs ( great for families), kitchen (keeps costs down) quiet location (right on the beach no roads to cross), it's easy to to go up 4 blocks if you're wanting the buzz. Road works were near to completion when we left but the noise never disturbed us. There are several high end restaurants close by which were very busy at night. A cycle hire point is close by ~ a great way to explore shoreline, marinas etc. Taxi point at hotel front (small private road to hotel entrance only) and for 25 cents a local bus is one block away. Amenity parking is next door if valet is too expensive, useful if you're hiring a car for a day. A small grocery store is close by but we stocked up at the supermarket uptown. The suite was clean, pool area good and bar staff and beach butlers very friendly and attentive.

House keeping did a great job although often late in the day~ do we really need sheets changed daily? Valet parking, concierge (use her ~ she was great!) and maintainance were all helpful and friendly. Drawbacks: noisy air con in living area and a sofa which was good to sleep on but not deep enough to sit comfortably on. I would certainly go back but next time would ask for all the bar stuff (absolutely loads) to be removed on arrival.

Room Tip: Ask for south facing if you don't want to pay the premium for a full beach view.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience at the beautiful AAA 4 Diamond Hilton Bentley. I am pleased to learn you enjoyed your experience. Thank you for your compliments of the service received from our Concierge, Maintenance Housekeeping, and Valet. I have shared them with the team. We certainly look forward to welcoming you back.

Reviewers: The review accurately describes the Hilton Bentley as being “the best of both worlds:” A fantastic beachfront Ocean Drive location amongst the best high-end restaurants of South Beach (Joes Stone Crabs, De Rodriguez Cuba, & Prime 112) and walking distance to the famous nightlife, Lincoln Road, and Ocean Drive buzz. Yet, the Hilton Bentley is located in the more sophisticated and quieter south end of Ocean Drive – the best of both worlds. Adjacent to the hotel, our guests may rent bicycles to tour South Beach’s playground.

Sincerely,

John Laclé – Hilton Bentley Leadership Team

I saw many negative reviews. My experience there was fantastic! I found the staff courteous and respectful, especially Sergio Peralta at the front desk. I was in a studio at first (great view of the Port of Miami and partial ocean view, side view) and got moved to a 1 BR when it became available (partial ocean view facing the ocean). The room was awesome with a large wrap around deck with a chaise lounge to use for the morning sun if you don't want to go down to the beach or pool. I enjoyed having wait staff on the beach to order drinks and food. The chaises were reasonable to rent on the beach ($10 each). It was worth every penny. Every call I made for service was answered within minutes. The Hotel was completely full most of the time I was there (8 days). I still found nothing lacking in the service or attention from the staff. I was there on business but my husband joined me for the weekend. It was great! The only negative was the DOT right across the street starting at 7:30AM with their back up alarms, banging their dump truck beds, and their loader buckets. The roads were all torn up around the hotel from 2nd Street to South Pointe. It wasn't so bad on the ocean side of the hotel. Also idiots in taxis blowing their horns at all hours. The A/C unit was loud, but if you close the bedroom door you can't even hear it.

Room Tip: The best rooms in my opinion are the West tower (newer) with an Eastward facing corner unit. None o...

Beautiful property but lacks the service. Room unique with full kitchen and great view. Bell service was the only good service we received. Housekeeping held is up for over an hour and had to dry off because they did not deliver after 3 calls. Then room service did the same thing the next day! The hotel pool and resteraunt were average at best. If it were not for using Hilton points I would try a different property. The Marriott next door looked better!

We stayed at the Hilton Bentley overnight upon our return from our honeymoon in Antigua. I redeemed Hilton Honors points for the stay and was very pleased at check in when Ernest Batista upgraded us to a two bedroom deluxe suite with beach view. Our 7th floor suite was more like a two bedroom apartment furnished with fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms (one with a Jacuzzi, one with bidet), living and dining rooms, large screen televisions in the living room and bedrooms. Both the refrigerator and bar were fully stocked. The Diamond Level welcome amenity was a very nice bottle of wine and the customary bottled water was 2 glass litre bottles of Acqua Panna. The balcony wrapped around the entire suite and provided gorgeous views of the beach, pool and surrounding areas. Marble flooring and aesthetically pleasing décor make the hotel very chic. Room service ordered from De Rodriguez was promptly delivered and was very good. This restaurant also provides the customary Hilton Honors breakfast buffet which was very good with fresh fruit, made to order omelettes and other local options, i.e. salsa available. Dining room and poolside dining options are available at the restaurant. Valet parking runs $35.00 per day with in/out privileges. The Hilton Bentley was a wonderful way to end and amazing honeymoon.

Room Tip: valet parking @ $35.00 Hotel undergoing renovations

Stayed here with wife to celebrate 20th Anniversary and very pleased that we chose to stay at Hilton Bentley. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and found the staff, from Bellhop to Beach Club to Management to be extremely attentive, professional, courteous and prompt. Stayed in 1BDR Suite on 9th floor corner and barely noticed the renovation noise. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the entire property, in spite of being sold out and very busy. The room was absolutely immaculate with amazing views. Enjoyed relaxing on the cozy chaise lounge shairs on our balcony. Very spacious, elegant bathroom. The beds out by the pool are tranquil and you also have a well-equipped Beach Club. Had a perfect Mojito at the lobby bar during complimentary Friday Happy Hour. Management's attention to detail is obvious. I would summarize our stay as a memorable, first class experience!

Room Tip: Priceless view from corner suite. Location convenient to deli, liquor store, Starbucks.
