“Mediocre with attitude”
Reviewed 20 April 2013 via mobile

This place is beautiful
Good music. But thats it.
A good restaurant. With high prices
NEEDS to have good food and imprcable service. Its not the case here. I had to sent my Tuna back. It's wasn't fresh
Yes the restaurant is new. But that's not an excuse for the poor quality

“Romantic beautiful sexy delicious and pricey.”
Reviewed 5 April 2013 via mobile

Located in the north part of south beach near the W hotel this beautiful upscale restaurant is just perfect for a romantic night out. The crowd is upscale and it is very pricey but worth it. The great background music is great for anyone that remembers or appreciates the music from the seventies. (Can it really be that long ago that Barry White Lou Rawls and Rick Astley were kings of the airwaves)
Tuna tartare one of the best I ever tasted. The Dover sole was perfectly prepared. The ravioli was exquisite. Artichoke salad was short on artichoke, I expected fresh artichoke, but the Panko crusted goat cheese was great.
Dessert don't miss the vanilla Cream filled crepe. My wife said she wanted just one bite and two minutes later there was barely anything left.
Go for the romance. Stay for the food. Just be prepared for the bill. Luxury doesn't come cheap.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 21 March 2013

Went on a Tues night in March - just the two of us. Best meal we've had in a long time. We arrived at 9pm and there were only 5 tables. Romeo was our server and he was backed up by the assistant GM. Service was great. We were there for approx. 2.5 hours. Atmosphere was that of a private, members only that you had to duck around a corner to find. Didn't feel like we were in Miami. We started with cocktails and had a bottle of white with dinner. For apps we shared the fettuccine with mascarpone cheese. We felt we had to try it, since it was made table side and it was excellent. We also split the tuna tartare, again excellent. For the main course we had the artisanal conchiglioni and braised lamb couscous - we were blown away by both. We'll def be back. It is pricey, but you're not paying for some BS just bc it's Miami - you're paying for quality and that's exactly what you get. One comment - I wish they had a shared version of the 11 item tasting menu. Seems like a bit much for one person, not enough for two to share, and too pricey to order one each with all of the other options on the menu.

All the ingredients tasted so delightful and authentic. You must take pictures at the garden, it's so beautiful and peaceful. I definitely recommend paying a visit to Tosca!
