Fed up with the expensive places on Ocean Drive we came across the Puerto. At first glance it looked a little shabby and they were queuing to get in, and we don't queue! But we gave it a chance, it seems to be run by a Cuban God Father, who doesn't smile a lot. Food: Coconut shrimp $10, Ox tail (not something you normally see) $11:50, Scampi $20 (a bit overpriced for what it was) half a carafe of red wine $15, a good experience. Suggest you book.

We came here for lunch. It was a very cozy feel, and I'm sure that this place has some really good items. However, we did not order those. We ordered empanadas and cuban sandwiches. No bueno. While it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great either. Good prices for what its worth.

A great find a block from Ocean Drive. Good, reasonably priced Cuban food and drinks. Don't mind the wood paneling and the unsmiling host, order the roast chicken and ropa vieja, a couple of beers and finish with the tres leches cake.

The "Saaag" is a must-visit place when I go to Miami. Food is done right. Service is good, and prices are low.

I enjoyed stepping into the past here. Best cortadito anywhere in Miami with a traditional dishes of Cuba to set you up for a full stomach. The tortilla (egg omelette) is wonderful and large enough to share. Add to that a side of yuca con ajo and you're set for the day. Really - stop in before they get consumed by another Five Guys - this spot is historically wonderful and a step back in time!
