The outdoor "Wallcasts" at the New World Center, designed by architect Frank Gehry, are indeed amazing! And, of course, they are free and do not require tickets. Thank you for taking the time to tell us how much you enjoyed your experience during the outdoor concert you attended. Our new season is starting in October and the Wallcasts for that month are: Saturday., Oct. 5 @ 7:30 PM (A Gershwin Opening) and Fri., Oct. 25@7:30 PM (Beethoven and Schumann). Hope to see you there!

“Visitors and locals should all visit the New World Center”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013

Visitors and locals should all visit the New World Center, home of the New World Symphony. An architectural wonder and state of the art facility with an impressive mission statement. Tours are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They last for about 30 to 45 minutes for a small fee of $5 per person.

The new building is something to see even on the outside. Sometimes there is a free simulcast outside in the connected park area. A must see area near Lincoln road

“Always great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2013

The New World Symphony is a top rate orchestra. Their musicians are the top of their field and Michael Tilson Thomas, their music director and main conductor is amazing. Their new theatre is beautiful with great acoustics. It is very exciting to hear them perform, whether inside or at their free wallcasts outside.

Thanks for taking the time to review the New World Symphony (NWS) here on Trip Advisor and, as the title of your view states, a musical experience at NWS is always great, thanks to the wonderful NWS Fellows, the artistic leadership of MTT (as we call him!), and Frank Gehry's magical venue. Whether inside or outside, the experience here is indeed always great and we urge everyone, residents and visitors alike, the share this experience.

“Intimate and Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2013

This is an extremely intimate and beautiful concert hall that only sits 757 attendees. Unlike many Frank Gehry buildings, the New World Center is very restrained on the outside. However, once you get into the interior of the concert hall, the standard Gehry swoops and curves are everywhere. Our guidebook described this concert hall as a Frank Gehry building turned inside out, and I would agree with this assessment. In addition to being a small venue that gives every attendee a spectacular view of the performers, the New World Center has excellent acoustics, and spectacular lighting systems and video capabilities. The concert that we attended cost $14 per person, which is probably less per person than ordering a drink on Ocean Drive. This got us third row center seats that put us about twenty feet from the orchestra. I think the lead cello might have had lettuce in her teeth. Okay, not really, but our view was that good. If you’re a classical music lover, or enjoy great architecture, this is a must see for any trip to Miami. Gehry even pays homage to the Art Deco style of South Beach by incorporating portholes and sails into his design of the Center.
