“Treated like royalty”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

From the moment we walked into the Angler we were treated like royalty. The staff really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The one thing that I really enjoyed about the hotel was that the staff really went above and beyond to make sure that you were happy. Also, I really liked the intimate feel of the hotel. It was warm and it didn't have that big hotel feel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the royal treatment and wants a beautiful stay in a great location. We are definitely returning to this hotel when we come back.
Thanks to all the staff who went out their way for us!
Marc, Marvin, Brian and all the staff at the restaurant.
Looking forward to our return!

We are devoted to Kimpton properties and Angler's Miami South Beach has many of the same qualities we have come to expect from Kimpton. They are pet friendly, unique, centrally located, clean. Our complaint is that there is inconsistency in their customer service. We have stayed at this property twice and found it to be true both times. Many of the staff members shine (Nicholas (both at the front desk and at the car park), Stephanie in the bar). During our last stay we arrive to find our room (a double, booked for three adult guests) was unavailable. The front desk assured us that they called to inform us of this, but no called registered on any of our cell phones. We were upgraded to a king room with pullout couch. Not an upgrade in our opinion since all adult members of our party would have really enjoyed a comfortable bed. It took housekeeping over an hour and several phone calls to arrive with bedding for the pullout. The housekeeper (I believe her name was Ana) was rude. Noticing that the pullout was opened, she began walking off with the sheets and blankets. We had to chase after her, retrieve the bedding and make the bed ourselves. When we mentioned this to the front desk we were told that they had never had a problem with this housekeeper. The message to us was that it was clearly our problem. Needless to say, we will not return to the Angler's.

I am in love with this hotel!

Just booked my stay from August 14th to the 17th and check in was a breeze.

My only complaint is why is this the number 3 hotel in Miami? When it should be number 1!

As soon as I came for my anniversary I was greeted by Brian (the bellman) who helped me with my bags. I soon checked in and spoke with Jessica who was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area and hotel. She helped me from start to finish and never hesitated to ask. She also gave us 2 glasses of wine because we missed happy hour at the hotel.

When I checked into the room it was so clean, the bathrooms, beds, floor, the pool, the Jacuzzi etc. I had no problems at all with anything. I walked in and my girlfriend was surprised with a bottle of chilled champagne and dessert on the house waiting for us. We also walked upstairs (YES upstairs because there were 2 floors) and our bed had rose pettles in the shape of a heart. All in all this was great, and the best part is, those amenities were on the house!

As I walked for breakfast to the 660 lounge Ken helped me and was very helpful with my requests. I love this boutique hotel, the front desk helped me with boarding passes and restaurant reservations. It also has Happy hour from 5-6 so don't miss it and also this hotel is a pet friendly hotel. The location is not even far from the strip and beach.

Thank you Anglers Hotel for an amazing experience. Will see you next year!

Hope this short review helps.

Room Tip: Book Fast because this Boutique hotel will be booked up. Also book 2 Manor villa with the Jacuzzi yo...

Another Kimpton, another great stay! Finally got to write our review for our stay 4 weeks ago. It was nothing short of amazing. First greeted by the valet Brian and had a nice conversation. It was a Sunday afternoon so not really busy and we went straight to check in. We were welcomed by Jessica and she took care of us setting our family of 4 up in a beautiful villa with a sundeck on top. She escorted us to our room and showed us all the amenities. The stairs may not be for everyone so just be sure you like going up and down and can manage your suitcases around the spiral stairs. For us, no problem, but I am sure someone will gripe about the charm of these rooms. Once we were able to settle in we planned our itinerary for the evening. The Angler's is perfectly situated and since we like to walk a lot (to work off the food and beverages on vacation) it suited us not being on the main strip of Ocean Drive. South Beach obviously attracts all types and with kids the Angler's is terrific. At the wine hour we met Nik. He exemplifies the Kimpton standard of service. Our only recommendation would have been some kind of small snack to go with the wine. We would have ordered something but weren't sure if something might come out as we have had snacks at other Kimptons. Had we not had plans we would of just hung out at the hotel all night and enjoyed the beautiful weather and people or maybe a picnic under the stars on the sundeck. So much to do and so little time. After a short stroll to Ocean Dr. and a nice meal we enjoyed some people watching and headed for a little longer walk to Lincoln Rd. It is amazing at 11pm at night on a Sunday all the activity of people still out and eating and the stores still being open. Anyway, once we headed back to the Angler's we decided on a quick dip in the pool. It was so peaceful with the stars literally in the pool from some projection device. We ended the night in our comfortable bed on the second floor of the villa dreaming that every future hotel we may stay at would be as great as this while the kids took over the bottom floor. In the morning we headed around the block for what became a habit for us the rest of the week in south Florida, the cortadito. When we checked out later that morning Nik had already called over to our next night's stay at the Kimpton Epic and updgraded us. Although we have become accustomed to all the Kimpton's going out the way to give us a great room it was still a nice gesture on Nik's part. We left wishing we had booked more nights at the Angler's and moved on to the Epic (totally different vibe but still a very good Kimpton). The Angler's may be a smaller boutique hotel but is a place where you feel like family. We cannot wait for our next chance to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Angler's last June. It was my partner's birthday and the staff decorated the room for us and gifted us with a bottle of bubbles which was a very nice touch. The hotel is pretty and cozy and it's located in the quietest area of South Beach, however it's close enough to all the main attractions and walking distance to the beach. The staff is friendly and very helpful unlike in some of the other hotels nearby. Highly recommended!

Just had a very good stay at the Anglers for 5 days. This is the first time that I have stayed here. My comparison would be the Loews which I have stayed at 2 times. The Anglers is a quaint boutique Hotel (43 Rooms spread across 3 floors). EVERYONE that we interacted with at the Anglers treated us very well (Brian - Doorman, Nicklaus, Malvert). The guys are all helpful and knowledgeable about where to eat and how to get around SoBe.

We had a beautiful spacious room with a large sitting area (couch and 2 club chairs), large bathroom and a king size bed. I counted 4 closets for hanging up your clothes, a safe, a mini-bar, and a balcony overlooking the pool. There were 4 built-in ceiling speakers in the main room and another one in the bathroom. We cranked them up to get in the party mood before we headed out each evening.

Our room at the Anglers was larger than when I stayed at the Loews and the Loews room was more expensive. BUT the Loews in on the Beach the Anglers is 2 SHORT blocks from the beach and in a quiet area. If you need a gym during your holiday, the Anglers doesn't have one but there is one on Collins that you could probably pay to use (you would have to pay to use the gym at the Loews- even as a guest of the Loews). The Angler's has a nice little outdoor pool.

The Anglers will have to work on improving their food at the restaurant. I think they are trying. This did not have a negative impact on our stay since there are so many restaurants in the area.
I think Anglers is a very good hotel for adults but not geared to young children BUT I would not be bringing my children to SoBe because there isn't much for them there.

All-in-all I would stay at the Anglers again for sure.

I will upload some pictures later :-)

Room Tip: - You can ride the Local Bus up and down Washington Avenue (to Lincoln Road and as far as 2300 Colli...

The Angler's offers very nice townhouse style rooms. We were able to fit the whole family of 5, Kids on one floor, we on the other and there was even a rooftop terrace! Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and nightlife as well as the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice bar and complimentary wine hour at night.
