Fontainebleau Miami Beach

I have to say I was quite disappointed with the experience at the Fountainebleau. Was there for a Bachelorette with 13 girls, and although the hotel has a lot to offer, it really failed on the service side.

I found all the staff to be extremely rude - from check-in, to housekeeping, to security. It isn't a cheap place to stay, and they add on 18% to every bill you have, so clearly the staff isn't working for their tips. Housekeeping basically just made our beds (not great) and left the room.

It has a lot to offer from location, to pools, restaurants and a club, so on the surface it seems good, but isn't much of an experience.

I would only recommend this hotel for large groups (bachelor or bachelorette parties) as there is a lot there to keep you busy and is very loud, but otherwise I would never stay here again.

Once again the Fontainbleau staff made my wife's and my short 5 day stay this past week quite memorable. From the time we drove up and was greeted by the valet attendant Jay to our fabulous daily enjoyment of the pool facilities we cannot say enough about the outstanding quality of the staff. Most notably we were again treated like "royalty" by Laz, Pool area manager, Cesar, Pool area supervisor, Jefferson and of course Joel Grullon.
Each of these individuals are masters in their areas of responsibility and really know how to make you feel so very special all throughout the day.
Time after time each one of these individuals asked us if we needed anything to make our day even more special. They sincerely cared and always followed through on their promises.
We can easily distinguish that every one of these employees was "handpicked" and weeded out from the normal "run of the mill" pool attendants. They all had the same integrity, character, personality and work ethic.
The first thing my wife and I did was to call the Reservations Department to book two additional stays at the hotel this year so we can experience this adult fantasy land once again! We cannot wait to be greeted by this group of Fontainbleau staff once again.

From check in to check out, everything was first class. We were given a great room in the Tresor tower that overlooked the inland waterway, main building, pool, and ocean. Yes, drinks and food are very expensive, but we knew it and received excellent service everywhere.

me and a party of 3 stayed at the fontainebleu from July 25-july 28th in room 1146 ( i have no idea which tower) we had the balcony junior suite and i believe we had the best view! when we first arrived i was a bit worried because check in didn't go so smooth and blade a restaurant on the property was lacking tremendously in the customer service department. it took us an hour to get our food while everyone beside s was serviced first. but seeing that 18 percent tax is mandatory i see why most of the wait staff weren't to keen on service. but service from a cabanna manager named matt and our hostess chelsea completely made up for the initial bad taste. the spa is great. the sushi is wonderful my friends ate a million steak sandwiches. security was thourough withut being too strict. i must say tho that club liv is too much stress for anyone who isnt in it for the look. all in all i dont think i could ever stay at any other hotel in miami after staying here. one thing i would work out tho is the relationship between concierge and the jet ski rentals on the beach there is a total disconnect and the customer pays for the failing relationship.

Room Tip: 1146 was great with a great view

I travelled here on business, and therefore did not pay for the room personally. The issues with this begin with the check-in process. While the front desk seems to be well staffed, it takes forever to get through the line. Once I got my room(Versailles tower), I had a beautiful view of the ballroom roof while standing on the wrinkled carpeting in my room. I stayed at this hotel many times before the remodel, and while the pool and other public areas are beautiful, I think the rooms are is the same filthy and poor condition that they were when is was a tired old hotel. The carpeting is wrinkled in the room, the bathroom floor grout is very dirty, the shower is stained and filthy. The desk has a nice new Apple iMac computer bolted to it, making very difficult to work at the desk with our own computer because of the lack of desk space left. The desk had 2 available power outlets, and the nightstand had none. So you are limited on what can be plugged in and where.

Room Tip: Go to the Eden Rock.

I spent two days at the Fountainbleau to celebrate my boyfriend recently taking the Florida Bar. We got in late on Friday night and found that we were not the only ones checking in late. We did have to wait as there was a line to check in. But the wait was not anything out the norm. We got to the counter and were greeted by a very pleasant man. He quickly checked us in and explained all of the amenities that Fountainbleau has to offer, as well as providing us with a coupon book to enjoy these said amenities. We received a free room upgrade without asking. Our room was to die for! It was a junior suite with an ocean view and balcony. I highly recommend anyone staying at the Fountainbleau to experience one night in a room like this. We had room service for breakfast and although some might think the prices were a little high (basic room service prices) the portions were huge. Later that day we had lunch at La Cote and had amazing service and enjoyed music and people watching. The pool was amazing. There was a great mix of people; families, younger people, older people, etc. This was an amazing experience and would recommend staying at the Fountainbleau to anyone!

Visited the Fontainbleau last weekend for a Bachelorette Weekend. Hotel staff was attentive and accommodating. While the food and drinks were expensive, it is what you would expect at a hotel like this in Miami. Room was great. We had four girls in the room and there was plenty of space for everyone to get ready. I would definitely return to Fontainbleau.
