“Peaceful setting”

A reasonably priced tour of Lake Dora. They will take you on a two hour tour of the lake and the canal. It's definitely a worthwhile trip if you have a spare few hours. It is a guided tour and although things will be pointed out, you are left to admire the views on your own with little communication from the guide. Fantastic photo opportunities and you will spend two hours wistfully wishing the houses with their matching boat docks were yours!

If you want to see the most beautiful mile of water in Fl. take this boat tour. Captian Bob will give you all the details of the wildlife and beautiful nature surrounding this glorious canal. You will lolve the cypress trees as you travel through this real old Fl. experience. The wildlife is plentyful including cranes, gators, turtles, otters, and birds of many kinds. We always look forward to taking our guests out on the Rusty Anchor. Look for coupons to reduce the price.

“Even mother nature gave it a thumbs up!!”

Planning a boat tour this time of year in Florida takes some guts with how fast storms can come up around here, but it seems like we were destined to have a great trip. The weather was perfect for seeing some wildlife (cranes, comerans, gators, turtles, etc.) and we had a very knowledgeable crew who made it a great time. Such a peaceful section of waterway, it really gives you a look into what Florida is outside of the big attractions.

“A Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

Today, we had an incredible tour of Mt. Dora Lake through the Dora Canal to Lake Eustis. We saw so much wildlife (Bald Eagles, alligators and all type of birds and beautiful flora). What a way to see the other side from the waterways. Going through the canal and seeing the majestic cypress trees we felt we went backyards in time before civilization.

Captain Scott and our guide Bob are terrific. We learned so much from Bob, not only about what we viewed but about so many other things to see and know about Florida. Bob has a great personality and energy and is passionate about what he says.

My husband and I highly recommend this tour and look forward to bringing our out of town guests to share this experience.
