If you want to know about the natural Naples, this is the place to go. Nice educational and fun experiences for all ages. Boat trip is worth the price of admission. Find out about what is coming with the new additions.

“Nice family activity”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

The tickets are not very expensive and if you live I the area and plan on going at least twice, it's better to buy the annual passes. There is a boat ride that takes you up a little canal an points out local and foreign plants. Nothing special but the driver let my boy steer the boat and he liked that. They have a small touch tank with some starfish and snails. Lots of tanks with baby alligators, snakes, turtles and fish. There are lots of shaded areas which is nice in florida where you're always in the sun. There are 2 vending machines but no food stands.

“A Worthy Cause”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

Although we have wintered over in Naples, Florida for a decade, we recently visited the Conservancy of Southwest Florida for the first time. We were immediately impressed with the friendliness of the greeting that we received, as well as the many interesting exhibits and activities that we were able to enjoy. When we walked down to the dock for the boat ride, we were delighted to view a mother manatee and her baby right in front of the dock. This was particularly exhilarating , because we had visited the Manatee Park in Ft. Myers the week before with zero results. Viewing the enclosure containing 15 or 20 pelicans that had been injured by nets or fishing lines and were being nursed back to health was another rewarding experience. While we had not planned to do so, the enthusiasm of the volunteers and the important work that they do convinced us to sign up and become members of the Conservancy. Their headquarters is right next to the Naples Zoo, so we can now visit two of our favorite attractions during one day trip.
