Discover the wonders of South America featuring a Giant anteater, Cotton-top tamarins, and more. Get wildly close to the Malayan tigers at viewing windows. Naples Zoo is one of only four zoos in the nation to feature the fierce YouTube-favorites: African honey badgers. Be fascinated by rare creatures during premier wildlife shows. Cruise through islands of monkeys, lemurs, and apes. Watch our professional staff hand-feed American alligators while dispelling popular myths. Snap great photos and learn the facts behind the fiction at a venomous snake talk. It's wild fun from apes to zebras. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is a nonprofit organization cooperating in conservation programs both in and outside the wild for endangered species. The zoo is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the organization that sets the highest standards for wildlife care, education, and conservation. I have a 16 month old son. He needs constant entertainment and gets bored easily. So this zoo was perfect for us. Yes lots of habitats and great animals, but the best part were the playgrounds. There were a few of them scattered around the park. They do have a wildlife show, but my son wouldn't sit still for it. The boat ride looked good but it was very busy that day. I can recommend feeding the giraffes. Yes $5 is alot for a piece of lettuce, but its worth it. Overall the zoo is beautiful and very shady. Its not a large zoo and you can do it in a half day. I only have 2 complaints. The small cafe at the entrance is horrible and expensive, bring a picnic with you at all costs. Also a small water area would be nice for the youngsters as it is Florida and it does get hot. Other than that we had fun. Enjoy!

“An Outstanding Zoo”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

A half day visit easily became a full day at this wonderful zoo. For those who have read earlier reviews, please read a little history of this zoo. An early private operation it has been taken over by the citizens of Naples and is a really enjoyable family outing. While admission may seem expensive, keep in mind what it must cost to operate a facility such as this. Also with the exception of the camel rides and giraffe feeding the admission includes numerous free shows and talks by staff at several venues around the grounds, We did not encounter any animals which were not viewable even during the rather hot midday at which time most wild animals wisely seek shade. The boat trip around the lagoon was enjoyable and the narrator informative. The grounds are beautiful and fllled with history as well. Highly recommend.

“Terrific and much more than it might appear”
Reviewed 20 March 2012 via mobile

we loved our morning here! for a small zoo, there was so much to see and do. you can breeze through or spend a good part of the day. staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I recommend the boat tour of the primates, our guide was smart, did his best to ensure we got a chance to see everything, and spoke clearly so we could follow everything without difficulty.

“Kid friendly and great customer service”

Enjoyed the show under the tent! Great for kids. There was also a good selection of food in the snack shop...not the typical burger and fries that you usually find.

“Lazy Morning Trip to the Zoon”
Reviewed 17 March 2012

Since trip advisor doesn't give you a choice of visiting with family otherthan Teenagers and Children, I guess they don't understand that other "family" members enjoye zoos also. My daughter and I enjoyed are visit to this zoo while we were in town to see the Minnesota Twins play baseball. There were numerous animals to see and we also took in a show on our way out that was fun.

Watching the giraffees eating lettuce out of the hands of other tourists was fun, and watching the monkeys swing from tree to tree and making a commotion.

Print your tickets on line to save some bucks. We did this at our hotel and saved $6.
