Owner description: Much more than a walk-thru zoo, this historic tropical garden and nationally accredited zoo features a full day of wildlife experiences to delight guests with the natural world to inspire the conservation of our planet's remaining wild areas and their wondrous inhabitants. Discover the wonders of South America featuring a Giant anteater, Cotton-top tamarins, and more. Get wildly close to the Malayan tigers at viewing windows. Hand-feed the herd of giraffe plus enjoy your favorite animals like lions, monkeys, and bears. Naples Zoo is one of only four zoos in the nation to feature the fierce YouTube-favorites: African honey badgers. Plus discover rarely seen species including Malagasy fosas and 2 of less than 20 striped hyenas in the nation. Ask those questions you've always wondered about at the Meet the Keeper Series. Be fascinated by rare creatures during premier wildlife shows. Cruise through islands of monkeys, lemurs, and apes. Watch our professional staff hand-feed American alligators while dispelling popular myths. Snap great photos and learn the facts behind the fiction at a venomous snake talk. It's wild fun from apes to zebras. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is a nonprofit organization cooperating in conservation programs both in and outside the wild for endangered species. The zoo is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the organization that sets the highest standards for wildlife care, education, and conservation. The garden also holds accreditation by The Morton Register of Arboreta and is a member of the American Public Gardens Association.

“Nice little Zoo.”
Reviewed 25 November 2013 via mobile

This is a nice little Zoo. It's small compared to other attractions in the state, but it is very nice for small children. You can see all the animals easily and take a little boat trip to see monkey island. They have little shows etc. Nice place to take the kids or grand kids

“A Cute, Fun Zoo”
Reviewed 25 November 2013 via mobile

The best part of this zoo is by far Primate Island. You get to ride aboard a tour guided boat and cruise around various little islands that house all kinds of species of monkeys! They've also got (elsewhere around the zoo) bears, alligators, etc. A quaint zoo, but still a good time for all.

“If you like zoos be sure to drop by!”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

The Naples Zoo is a very nice zoo. The animals have open areas and children will enjoy being so close to the animals. The citizens of Naples have worked very hard to keep this area open so please help us support the Naples Zoo!

“Poor quality "Living" spaces.”

The big animals from Africa are clearly stressed and are housed in TINY cages and enclosures not allowing for these poor animals to roam...........Disgusting beyond belief...

“Beautiful gardens and exhibits with a focus on Conservation.”
Reviewed 24 November 2013 via mobile

We have visited the Naples Zoo and Gardens twice in the last few years, and we enjoyed both experiences immensely. Our ages ranged from three years old to sixty two years old and everyone had a wonderful time! We love the beauty of the entire property and seeing the animals in expansive, and "close to natural" habitats. The educational shows/programs are well done and professional. The boat ride is a highlight and not to be missed. Go on a weekday if possible, and early in the morning to avoid crowds.
My favorite aspect of the non-profit, Naples Zoo, is their focus on conservation, with a portion of all sales going towards conservation projects around the world. Check out their website for a long list of current conservation projects they are in partnership with or contributing towards.
