Just returned from our visit to Naples for my birthday and we really enjoyed the Hilton Naples. What a wonderful staff!
We stayed on the fourth floor in Room 471 and had a view of the hot tub and the garden store next door. The room was very clean, flat screen television, comfy beds, great shower with lots of water pressure, and clean, white, fluffy towels.
My husband has membership status with Hilton, so we were able to use the conceirge on the fourth floor, which had a nice breakfast of croissants, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and pastries. We never made it to the breakfast at Shula's, so I can't say if it was good or not. The evening snacks at the conceirge consisted of veggies, cheese and crackers, and some type of warm appetizer, like meatballs.
Definitely take advantage of the bikes available through the hotel. Probably best to get there early or they might be all gone. There are bike rentals around the corner from the hotel if you're not able to get the bikes for free. We used the beach cruisers to ride to Clam Pass, which is about a ten to fifteen minute easy ride from the hotel and easy to find if you follow signs. From the beach we rode over to The Village which is a cute little shopping center with restaurants on the waterfront of the bay.
The hotel also offers a beach shuttle with complimentary chairs and coolers with water.
We ate dinner one night at Shula's and it was good, but is pretty pricey. This is the only option for dining at the hotel and they are the ones who do room service.
The pool looked very clean and often had lots of people enjoying it. It was heated, although we never got in. The hot tub was great and never had a lot of people using it.
My only complaints are that, one, everything shuts down - even on a Friday and Saturday -by about 10:30 p.m. We didn't find any bars or restaurants within walking distance that stayed open later than this. So if you're looking for nightlife in this area, probably not the best spot for you. This isn't the Hilton's fault, but perhaps they could add a bar or something that stayed open a little bit later.
Two, at least when we were there, there was at least one wedding and several conventions, so it was very busy around the lobby.
That being said, neither of those things would deter us from returning. The area is beautiful and we would happily return again.
