I just wanted to take a moment and share my thoughts on our time at the Ritz Golf Resort in Naples, it was a top of the line experience from beginning to end. Keary, Assistant Front Office Manager greeted us at check in and was a true professional. He personally showed my wife and I several room options to make sure we were happy with our accommodations. It was great to speak with him during our stay and he always greeted us by our name. His colleague Geoff was great as well, he made sure everything was correct on our bill at checkout and during our stay was extremely helpful on several occasions. Amy, Guest Relations Director, was outstanding. I called ahead of time to have some welcome gifts placed in the room. She was so pleasant on the phone and in person, she made our stay special from the beginning. Rafe in the valet was excellent, he made sure my golf clubs were ready for me and always greeted my wife and I by name. He showed us a great route for our morning run as well, everyone at the valet and bell desk was top notch. We stay at luxury hotels and love the Ritz because of their personalized service and how they cater to their guests. Housekeeping, F&B, everyone was wonderful. We had a minor issue with our in room safe, security arrived promptly and resolved the issue quickly. It was nice that guests at the Golf Resort also have use of the Ritz Beach Resort, the hotels have a shuttle to take you back and forth. One last person I have to mention actually works at the Ritz Beach. Brendon in the Terraza Restaurant was our server at dinner and again for breakfast, he was the best. He took the time to explain the dishes, made my wife fresh decaf (huge deal trust me!), and was just friendly and personable. Thanks to all of the staff at both properties for making our weekend, we will surely be back soon!

Room Tip: If they have room 119 get it!

Thoroughly enjoyed a weekend there. An hourly shuttle service to the beach resort, ensures enjoyment of the most beautiful beach in Naples. The staff were friendly and efficient. Good choice of restaurants, a very good bar with good jazz music.

We chose this Ritz because it was pet friendly. They brought us a wonderful bed, treats, toys and bowl which we thought was extremely thoughtful. The pool at the golf course resort was small and not lavish. You get free shuttle service or can drive yourself to the Ritz on the Beach (few miles away but not pet friendly) which was AWESOME. Rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach or lay by the beautiful two pools...worth the trip. One criticism, they never emptied waste cans at golf resort where you disposed of doggie baggies while we were there in spite of me calling. One good thing, pet rooms are on ground floor and sliding door opens to grassy area which was perfect! Hotel could use some updating but really was very good. Self parking is very close to pet rooms.

Room Tip: Self parking very close to pet rooms which are all located on ground and 1st floor, don't pay for balcony...one of the booking choices...if you have a pet as these rooms do not have balcony. They open right t to grassy area and pool.

Four nights in late May was hardly enough. In our first trip to southwest FL, my wife and I along with our 8 year old daughter stayed here with the "Summer Beach" package that proved to be an incredible value.
Room: Upon check-in we were promptly upgraded to a golf course view room with a balcony that was large enough to feel comfortable in even when we paired a roll-away with our king size bed. The bathroom was spacious with a wonderfully powerful shower, separate soaking tub, two vanities, and privacy closet for the toilet. We slept so well!
Food: The included breakfast for 2 started the day off right. Without the Summer package you're looking at $75 for a breakfast buffet for 2 adults, 1 kid, + included gratuity. With the package, it was a breakfast that started off our day with a bang. Loads of food to suit anyone's taste. We ate lunch and dinner at the beach resort every day (those $50/night food credits come in handy), but the opportunities for fine dining here at the Golf resort looked fabulous.
Resort: Definitely the quieter of the two Ritz locations in Naples...just a 10-15 minute drive inland from the beach Ritz...the pool area looked very nice and relaxing but we spent our days at the beach...the Fitness Center appeared top notch...the areas dedicated to the kids are a bonus that shouldn't go overlooked. The mini-theater provided relaxing movie entertainment one night, and the game room allowed dad and daughter to hone their skills at various Wii, PS3, and XBox games during an afternoon thundershower.
Notes: We utilized the shuttle service to get to the Ritz Beach resort (reviewed separately) the first day, but with complimentary valet parking included in the package (at both resorts!) we drove ourselves for the balance of the trip. Plenty of places to stop to fuel for a day at the beach between the two resorts (i.e. Publix, CVS, Walgreens, etc...)
Finally, don't forget gratuities. From the valet to the bellman, and from housekeeping to the wait staff at the restaurants, everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and always satisfied...a few extra dollars here and there is well worth the cost of personalized service! The Ritz delivered on service excellence, from early check-in, room upgrade, Naples restaurant recommendations, Everglades excursion recommendations, late check out availability, and generally making you feel welcome, in luxurious accommodations.

We stayed in the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in January 2014 for 2 weeks this was our 3rd stay. Our room on the 5th floor overlooked the golf course, we found the room to be comfortable but we did have a couple of issues with 2 stained pillows and a used drinks cup on the floor under the television cabinet! we telephoned housekeeping and spoke to the manager who was very apologetic and dealt with our issues straight away. but this should never happen at the Ritz!!

We had booked to use the Club Lounge for the whole of our stay where we were looked after by the delightful Branca, Chanel, Amy, Geoff, Allan, and Frank, we cannot speak highly enough of these wonderful people they made our stay very memorable and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We met some lovely guests in the Club Lounge it was a very happy and a fun experience every day and we had a fantastic time!

We did have 2 experiences this vacation that was not good... was that the hotel allowed 50 under 12s boys football teams for a football tournament with their families from Miami to come and stay for 3 days!... it was utter chaos... there was non stop screaming while the kids ran wild!! they clambered in the landscaping! climbed in the waterfall....dug huge holes in the Putting green...screamed and jumped in the pool all day! this went on till late into the evening! the Guests were complaining ...the staff were complaining! security were constantly being called and on the 3rd day they left and everyone sighed with relief!! but really the hotel should have never let such a large group of a football team of kids stay at a golf resort it's just asking for trouble! and they got it!

Also another issue that the hotel allows is guests with pet dogs that bark all the time and letting their pets foul any where the dogs want too instead of taking their dogs to the dog park! or owners who tie barking dogs up to a rail while they go inside to the bar! Yes in our 2 weeks stay we witness all of this!!

So would we go back to the Ritz for a 4th visit? we are really not sure yet, we do love the hotel and Naples! if we do we won't stay for as long as we did last time and will check there is no kids football teams staying the same time as us!!

Room Tip: Check the pillows in the room! The rooms facing the Driveway will be quieter and will get the sunsets!
