We spent 8 days at this hotel, primarily because it accepted dogs without a big cleaning fee, and we were not disappointed with it's pet-friendly practices. The two-room suite, while clean, had some moldy smell coming out of the air conditioning, and the bathroom was really basic, no door between the sink area and the bedroom.
The location is convenient, near the Interstate and not far from the beach, with two restaurants within walking distance. However, on both weekends we were there hordes of children's soccer teams and their parents had checked in, so the facilities, including pool area, playground, breakfast area, bar area, fitness room, etc were overcrowded and messy, and commotion continued late into the night. Although we and other guests complained, the weekend hotel staff was simply not up to the task of keeping the peace.
On a good note, the free breakfasts were quite good, and Dawn, the cook, did her utmost to pick up after the messes being left, and keep up with demand for food and serving plates. Too bad the soccer parents let their kids run wild. If we go again, we'll make sure no soccer tournaments are going on in the area before we book.

Thank you for your review, Ken! Let me apologize for the inconveniences caused by the sports teams during your stay with us. We did recognize the issues we faced during that time and have taken measures to ensure this does not happen again. We have limited the number of teams we allow at the hotel and we have hired a security guard to make sure that everyone is being respectful of those not participating in the sporting events. Thank you for your compliments about Dawn! She does a wonderful job and takes great pride in her job. I will be sure to let her know how much you appreciated her hard work. We all look forward to seeing you again very soon!

We stayed here for 9 nights in January 2014. We chose this hotel because they have 2 bedroom suites which is great for traveling with family. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has 2 queen size beds. The room with the king size bed was a bit small and had very little counter space. Good features of this room is nice size common area, DVD player in room, and the room was relatively quiet (our room was in the back of the building away from Pine Ridge Road). The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of food. The hotel had a putting green and basketball court which I have never seen at any other hotel I've stayed at. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. The area of town that the hotel was located in was very nice also. The things we were unhappy with were: Two items needed to be fixed right away - bathroom vanity light and a slow draining tub. In the smaller of the two bedrooms, the air conditioner/heater blows right on your face while lying on the bed which made it very uncomfortable. We had to cover it with a towel to redirect the airflow. It is also very noisy. Electrical outlets were very loose fitting and one cover was cracked and barely attached. There weren't enough outlets especially for all the electronics that need to be plugged in these days. The rooms need lamps that have bases with outlets especially by the beds. The sheet on our king size bed was too small. It kept slipping off the mattress while we were sleeping. Though there were a few problems and inconveniences, I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Our overnight stay was fine, the room was clean, staff helpful and friendly. The next morning was especially notable, the complimentary breakfast was very pleasant and very well prepared by Dawn. She was buzzing around the dining room and kitchen making absolutely sure that the food and drink available were well stocked and replenished throughout breakfast. Even at her busiest she gave a patient tutorial to explain how to make a PERFECT waffle with the waffle maker machine. Dawn is an great asset to Hawthorne Suites Naples. We will come back when we are in Naples next.

Room Tip: We chose a room on top floor (3rd) away from pool area it was a very quiet sleep.

I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous, especially Dawn, the cook who made a great breakfast every day. Thanks for a great holiday stay.

Last January I wrote a review entitled "Like Going Home". Well I went back "home" and was welcomed back by Dawn the cook who continues to help make the Hawthorne Suites what it is. She told us that she doesn't always remember a name but rarely forgets a face. Thank you Dawn for welcoming us back. Choices for breakfast are extensive including a hot entree, waffles, hot and cold cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit. Everything is neat and plentiful.
The first night of our stay a childrens soccer team from Miami was staying at the hotel. Although there were many parents with them the children were uncontrolled and the person at the front desk tried his best to control the situation but was unable. The following day I was approached by the manager who wanted to hear what our experience was from the previous day. We heard that the group would not be allowed to stay at the hotel again and that they would be hiring security for the next time they have a large group of children. The hotel appears to be concerned about their guests and try their best to make your stay enjoyable. There are a number of extended stay guests escaping the cold up north for the winter so the hotel is normally low key.
The rest of our 3 night stay was uneventful. On Monday evening we enjoyed wine, beer and soda along with chicken wings, nachos and salsa, and peanuts which is complimentary Mon thru Thurs.
We will be returning next January if not sooner.
