We liked our stay at the Cove Inn, however if you are looking for a place that has a tiki bar that will stay open after 9:00 on a Friday, then look elsewhere. If you don't care to have access to bars and restaurants that stay open past 10:00 then I would recommend staying here. The rooms are small, but priced right. Great on premise coffee shop.

We have stayed at the Cove several times, It has a perfect location, with wonderful views of the bay and it is easy walking distance to 3rd St. and 5th Ave. The rooms are very clean although some do need upgrading and hopefully the management are working on that.
The staff are friendly and very helpful, and as for the coffee shop just try their pancakes!!!!! delicious.

The Cove Inn is homey and has a perfect location on the water (marina, not the beach) which is walking distance to all of the shops and dining on fashionable 5th. But it is a world away from fashionable so don't expect Ritz-Carlton - expect comfort. I love the sunlit lobby, the back wide patio over looking the Naples docks, the oh-so-good coffee shop and the friendly staff. Reminds me of a good Cape Cod establishment. Each of the rooms is individually owned (condo arrangement) and rented out so you get something different with each one. We had a king size bedroom with attached bath, kitchen, living room and roomy outdoor porch on the 3rd floor. It was clean and comfortable, decorated in beach and shell style, was well-tended and well-lived-in but not elegant. We could have happily stayed a week. I recommend this to anyone who likes laid-back, location and comfort above style. If you are looking for the Tommy Bahama side of Naples, pick another hotel.

Room Tip: Each one is different - I suggest you call the Cove and speak with someone who can direct you toward the perfect room for your party.

Stayed one night for the Naples 1/2 marathon (great race - highly recommend it) and the Cove Inn was perfect. It was within walking distance to the starting line and also within walking distance to the town.

It's also situated on the water and our room had a lovely view of the boats on the bay. Room was spacious with a queen bed and a couch and dining area, and easily fit 3, and the front desk was helpful in making a reservation to ensure we had a room for a party of 3.

Rooms are very basic, decor is a little dated - nothing luxury about this property - but it was relaxing and comfortable, and perfect for our needs.

Nice little waterfront bar on the property too.

I would like to note that Cove Inn made a commendable effort to compensate me for my poor experience in room 149. They also indicated that they are working with the owner to update the accommodations. When management makes an effort to correct a wrong, I believe they deserve to be reevaluated. It doesn't change my experience there, but it certainly speaks to their effort to improve things for their customers.
