Owner description: For those looking to squeeze in 18-holes of championship golf on a beach day or busy weekend, the Riviera Club is the course for you.

This is a nice little course located in a retirement community near Naples. It has some very nice holes around the community with lots of water & sand. It's challenging enough for a practice round to get you ready for a championship course. It was a little expensive for an executive style course, but golf in the area isn't cheap. We played on a Saturday afternoon so there were lots of families & retirees. That made the round a little slow, but enjoyable. PS: the course address got my GPS into the community, but not to the golf shop so we drove around the community for a while trying to find it.

Recently played several times at Riviera - twice with granddaughter (aged 11) - and it was fine. In October $20 for adult and $10 for junior is excellent value. November prices increase a bit but are still very fair. Just do not understand the heavy criticism in some reviews. This is a short public course. If you are such a good golfer, go to a full length course, and pay a lot more - might find that a bit more satisfying. For us who are not so good, or for a junior learning Riviera is fine.
Over three weeks we played six times, the people at reception were friendly and welcoming, the new greens were in good nick and there were a few bare patches on some tees. They also operate a loyalty card so if you are a group you can quickly rack up the nine rounds that gets the tenth free.

If you have a couple hours and you want to practice your game, this is your course. This is so much better than going to the driving range. Also it is a great place to introduce the game to a family member and a friend. The price is very fair $33 dollars with a cart. The greens were in good shape. Fairways were nicely cut. During the round, I did see staff working on the grounds. If you have a sudden urge to hit the links and have a short window of time, give the course a chance.

Terrible greens - bumpy, patchy, and where there is some grass, it's long. Course needs some serious work all around.

No grass. Terrible greens. Total lack of interest. If that was the only golf course that I could play on, I would quit golf.
