This was our 2nd stay at Bellasera for our annual "girls"
getaway". This time there were 5 of us in a 3 bedroom condo. A perfect setup for us - my sister and our 3 daughters. Condo was very spacious, clean and comfortable. With a full kitchen, we were able to breakfast in the condo (saves a lot of $$$). Spa is small, but services were wonderful and staff very accomodating. This was the 9th trip we have taken and the only place we returned to for our spa getaway.

Unlike most resorts, there is no charge for parking, no bogus "resort fee". Pool is lovely, though rather crowded while we were there, but not really an issue. Among the perks : hotel driver will drive and pick you up to shop or restaurant or whatever within a certain radius of hotel. Because the hotel is in a great location, we could walk most anywhere we wanted to go. I think the Bellasera is a gem!

2nd visit to Bellasera and overall 5 stars again.
However -
The indifferent 'welcome' I got from the front desk after a 9.5hr flight and a 2.5hr drive was not what I expected. Neither was the smoke engulfing the balcony of our first room from the four people smoking below, however after changing rooms, some Bellasera normality ensued and the quality of the room, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff was what I had initially expected.
I recognise smokers can only smoke outside, but frankly they would have stopped flights flying through the fog that engulfed our original balcony!
On the first day we had a minor issue with the coffee maker which leaked after brewing, but this was resolved quickly, when after I reported the fault it was replaced the same day.
The maid service was good, but not as good as last year when we also noticed little extra touches which made a big difference.
In my previous review I mentioned the pool was small and shallow, and providing they can reintroduce consistent customer service that would still be my only area of concern as it is perfect, almost a private pool when the hotel is quiet, but with more than 10 people in it, swimming becomes virtually impossible.
Would normally always use the fantastic beach instead, where dolphins come as standard, however while the weather was excellent, it was fairly windy which made it impossible to find any shade, as the beach umbrellas would not stay in the ground, so used the pool much more.
Larry on Concierge continues to provide customer service others should aspire to, and in general any negatives remain somewhat minor when balanced with some excellent positives.

Our initial arrival at the Bellasera did not bode well! The main entrance was taped up and the instructions pointed us towards a side door and the check-in desk. No matter, renovations have to take place in any establishment and they were working at breakneck speed to get the job done. And it certainly looked good just 48hrs later. An impressively fast check in had us in our 2nd floor room a few minutes later, and what a delight it was. Sparkling clean in every respect, with 2 good sized bedrooms, a very comfortable living and dining area, 2 well equipped bath and shower rooms, a kitchen with all the necessities for self catering, and a washer/dryer neatly hidden behind closet doors. Our mosquito-proofed verandah looked out onto the well manicured inner garden area.

Room service, when required, was courteous and quick. Daily local newspapers were delivered foc and a most comprehensive folder describing Naplesand it's surrounding attractions had been provided on arrival.

The room was cleaned and made up in a thoroughly professional manner with any washing up required being done in the dishwasher. I could not fault our 4 night stay in any way and in normal circumstances this excellent hotel would surely have received a 5 rating from this reviewer.

We returned to the Bellasera 3 days later and this time we had a ground floor apartment
but in exactly the same configuration as our previous accommodation. But, oh dear, it did not quite meet the high levels of expectation provided by our first visit. There was a pervading smell of damp in the rooms, the large net curtain to the verandah was very badly
stained, and the lavatory in the main suite was also very badly stained and had clearly not been properly cleaned. The ice maker in the refrigerator was not working, not a major problem for us, but another oversight on this particular visit.

The pool area was quiet and inviting with comfortable loungers and excellent poolside service. The nearby dining area was sampled just once for breakfast, a bit of a disaster
as the obviously new server got most things wrong or didn't complete the order. Just a very minor irritation!

The free shuttle provided was used on just one occasion - but a perfect way to get around if you dont want to ride one of the hotel bicycles also provided foc!

The staff were all extremely polite and solicitous and made us feel very welcome.

Would we return? Most certainly, and we would have no hesitation in giving this hotel an extremely high recommendation.

Room Tip: 2nd floor was just fine!

Dear mike j,

Thank you so much for your recent review of Bellasera Hotel. I love the fact that you came back and stayed with us again over such a short period of time, however I am sorry to hear your 2nd visit was not quite as pleasant! Thank you also for understanding that renovations need to take place and becasue historically this is our slowest time of year we felt this was an appropriate time to get it taken care of - we know that as long as we have guests who are understanding it will be worth the bit of inconvenience down the road.

It will be our pleasure to have you as a guest again sometime soon - and we hope that any faults you may have seen in your recent visit will be remedied by the time you vacation again!

Sincerely,
Bellasera Hotel Management Team

It’s very difficult to try and imagine a better experience. The receptionist was very friendly and spent time with us telling us all about the hotel and the amenities before passing us on to the Concierge who gave us some good tips for places to eat and to visit in Naples.

There is a free shuttle bus (like a private taxi for us as it wasn’t too busy) that will take you to anywhere within 3 miles of the Hotel (and collect you as well).

The room was fabulous – we booked a one bed suite and it was huge with very tasteful good quality Italian / Tuscan style furnishings. It had a large bedroom / lounge / kitchen and dining area. It also had a washing machine and dryer which is great for those who are travelling. The supplied bathrobes were also excellent quality and were new unlike the threadbare efforts often found in hotels even as good as Ritz Carlton etc.

The pool was large and the chairs were huge and very comfortable. Beach towels were readily available and the Hotel trusted you to take them and return them unlike many where they have to be signed out and back in with your room key. There were also cabanas for those who wanted to read and / or stay in the shade.

Excellent, fast speed, free Wi-Fi was also useful. Difficult to fault anything – very good value for money.

Believe the hype - this is a rare Hotel experience.

Room Tip: We went for suite which was lovely - I am sure most rooms will be nice.

The Bellasera is absolutely wonderful. I planned a three night getaway with my husband and chose the Bellasera vs Ritz Carlton. I am so glad we did , we not only save some money on our stay but had free parking and awesome breakfast. Breakfast we had at the ZIZI restaurant and the concierge provided us with a coupon for breakfast $6.95 pp which was a full breakfast. We rented a car from Hertz which is a must to do sightseeing in Naples. The beaches were wonderful, the pier, the Naples Sunset Cruise. A tour in the morning of the mansions in the residential area is a must. We went to the Pier on Saturday and watched the dolphins playing in the water. Each day we headed to the beach which was so peaceful we entered through the 7th Avenue and Golfshore Blvd entrance, much tranquility.

The manager Kathy was so courteous and helpful. She even sent a bottle of champagne to our room. Larry, at the bell is very informative and gives you great tips of attractions, beaches, restaurants in the area. Thankfully we were upgraded to a 2 BR Suite which was awesome. I even cooked breakfast one morning and having the convenience of a kitchen is very helpful . The pool was wonderful and heated.

When dining out on the town please go to BISTRO 821 and try the four course menu(small plates). Azian Cuisine in EL MERCATO is great for sushi lovers. Bravo restaurant at the Waterside Shops has great Italian food and a good lobster bisque soup. Try the Cafe off of 5th Avenue for a nice lunch. Yes, Naples is a bit upscale unlike Miami, but it is beautiful and peaceful. Wish we had time to visit the Zoo which is only 5 minutes from the BellaSerra Hotel and the Miromar Outlets are nice but the tax isnt.

The Bellasera was our home away from home. The Housekeeping staff, Anna is very nice and she supplied us with extra towels.

The Bellasera is a very well maintained, centrally located property in Naples! We stayed for 5 nights in a very large and extremely comfortable 2 bedroom unit. It was like being at home! The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were well appointed and the closets were large! My boyfriend especially loved the robes! The balconies are covered with screens so no need to worry about bugs.

I was very impressed with the full kitchen. It literally had everything I needed to prepare a hearty breakfast and dinner during our stay. We did not eat in the restaurant, but they did give us coupons for all meals and for complimentary cocktails when we checked in.

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The pool area was enjoyable. There were many chairs and cabanas available for use every day we visited the pool. We enjoyed the bikes (free of charge for guests) very much. We rode down to the beach which was about 7 blocks away. We locked up the bikes and took the chairs and umbrellas we rented from the lobby and had a marvelous day at the beach!

The property is centrally located. There's a Publix supermarket and a smaller grocery chain called Wynn's market just down the street. There is also a mall and a few other shopping centers and a movie theater within a 15 minute drive away. I love animals so we visited the Naples Zoo which was also nearby and lots of fun. We flew in to Fort Myers airport which was about a 35-40 minute drive from the Bellasera. It was pretty easy to find off the highway as well.

We had a wonderful stay and will most certainly be back on our next visit to Naples!

Before our trip to Naples we spent a good month trying to decide where we were going to stay. Now we are here I am very pleased we chose the Bellasera.

Currently I am writing this review using their free wifi which gets excellent signal throughout the building and even on the busy Labour Day weekend is still fast and usable.

The rooms are great, we chose the smallest one and in my opinion it's huge!!! Nice big sofa in the lounge with a big flat screen tv. Fully kitted out kitchen and clothes washing facilities.

We have used room service once and it was a good experience, very fast and friendly service - also wasn't as expensive as I was expecting either.

Staff about the grounds are friendly and always let on to you. I found it a huge bonus too that I could park outsie my room. The morning Naples paper hanging on the door for when you wake up is a nice little touch too.

Overall, great experience, good location (highly recommend 5th ave at night) and would defiantly come again.
