Bellasera Hotel was clean and comfortable. The one bedroom apartment gave us a kitchen to cook breakfast, a living room for relaxing and a bathroom with space to put down toiletries. We didn't use the small dining nook since the breakfast bar was adequate for our needs. The balcony was nice during the beautiful weather we had.
The lighting was very poor for reading. The 3 level lamps in the living area had been replaced by a florescent bulb which was too dim. The bedroom was also dimly lit.
The main problem was the noise level. The open air setup with sliding doors to the balcony, a large bedroom window and a long street-like configuration between buildings meant that we heard other people talking from their balconies, carts bumping along the concrete block walk,
very loud 2 way staff radios, slamming steel gates, and noise from barflies in the restaurant/bar. The worst was a few drunks on their porch in the middle of the night. You can shut the doors and windows and reduce the sound, but why go to Florida if you can't enjoy the fresh air.
The hotel is a fifteen minute walk to the beach and five minutes to the many downtown restaurants. So we'd consider coming back, but since the hotel is almost made to make noise, this won't happen.More
