While out on our gator hunt (after only seeing a few from the road), we decided to stop and see the "Live Gators" advertised.
We were greeted by a man holding a gator (mouth taped shut) who allowed (with instructions) for the adults in our group to hold the alligator. The kids got to pet the gator.
We then went into the area which we quickly discovered was much more than live gators! We got to see parrots, turkeys, peacocks, goats, sheep and bunnies(all in separate gated areas)! They even provided carrots for our 2 and 5 year old nieces to feed the rabbits and goats! Also inside were several alligators in 2 different gated areas. One was HUGE - 50 years old! Our guide actually took pictures on our cameras for us inside the cage.
There was no admission fee. It is a non-profit, so they just ask for donations. Definately reccommended as a kid friendly, cheap and close activity if you are staying in Marco.
